Mr6,
I had the EXACT problem you are talking about also.
I am also uncut and when I first started using the wench, I also had problems with it wanting to slide off and not being able to tighten the clamp enough. I solved this problem by increasing the thickness of the wrap I use. I first under wrap with a type of self sticking type material and then over wrap this with a cotton material. I wrap enough to ensure that the clamp will secure properly. The wench does tend to slide forward a little towards the glands but I haven’t had any major dramas yet. The skin and wrap does tend to bunch up behind my glands and acts as a cushion. It’s a little disconcerting to look at, but does not hurt at all.My wench NEVER actually covers my glands. I think that this is an important distinction that needs to be made. Although I’m a newbie at hanging, I have read LOTS on the hangers forum and I believe that covering the glands with your hanger (whatever it may be) is bad news.
I easily hung ten pounds (briefly, it was a test!) wrapped in this way and regularly hang with 7.5 with no problems.I know lots of guys hang a lot more than ten pounds with their wench, but I don’t know how many of them are uncut.
