Purple Ring

I am getting a purple ring around the tip of my johnson from hanging. Has anybody else had this? I attached a simple picture of how it looks that I have drawn myself. It fades and goes back to normal after a while. I have been hanging for about 3 months now so I’m not a complete beginner.

How should I handle this? Give a few days recovery then move the weight down and try again in a few days?

If you have had this injury what do you think caused it and how did you rectify the problem?

Check your wrapping tightness, and the amount of blood in the head.

I had this a few times, usually when starting back after a rest period. I never paid any attention to it, and it would go away while I was still hanging.

By wrapping tightness are you suggesting that it should be tighter, or that it may be too tight?

Also, would you agree that the head should have as little blood as possible?

I had taken about 5 days off and just started back again when this happened.

Too tight.

When I was hanging, I preferred a little blood in the head, but not much. Most guys prefer very little.

Yes, that is what I was referring to. When I took even a couple days off, it was obvious that my softer tissues had deconditioned and I would have more soreness and discoloration in the soft tissues. That is why I tried to hang even a couple sets on my days off. Nothing extreme, just enough to keep the flow going, so that on Mondays, it would not be so tough to start back up.
