Please note the following is related to hanging, which I have practiced for a long while now after years of conditioning my penis. Because I have been a lurker, I have not contributed much (until today I hope), and thus do not have the required 30 posts under my pants to post in the hanging thread. Having trouble getting to fatigue in your daily hanging routine? Forgot what the feeling of “riding the fatigue” is like? I can get you where you want to go with a simple tool: the bungee cord.

How I usually get to fatigue pre-bungee cord is to hang with the heaviest weight I could and wait. Most of the time, fatigue does not set in until the last of my 3 daily sets, or sometimes not at all. Because I travel to my wife’s country and stay for long periods of time, I needed to find substitutes for my weight plates to continue my routine. Credits to some hangers here who mentioned that they use the bungee cord instead of weight plates.

With the bungee cord, it is easier to hang BTC and OTS then with regular weight plates. I would find an attachment point as high as a comfortable surface that I could get on all fours on, say my bed. After attachment, either facing away (BTC angle) or towards (OTS angle), crawl away from the attachment point. My arms and legs might get tired after crawling for a while. I just lie on my side, anchoring myself and fixing the tension.

What I like about bungee cording is that I can change the pulling force on the penis in an instant. I could be going 5s gritting my teeth, pulling like I want to rip out the window grill with my penis, and then immediately reducing the tension to let my senses recover. Then I go again trying to rip that grill out. After a few minutes of this, my penis if it could talk, would crying and screaming for its mother. The distinction between this and hanging heavy weights is that the change of force can be done in an instant and is more within my control.

Finally, I switch to weight plates, because by this time, I cannot ensure that I can continue to provide a constant force. I usually use 2.5kg. At this weight, it usually took me hours to get to fatigue. However if I bungee corded in the initial phase, 2.5kg is enough of me to feel that burn again.

TL;DR
Use bungee cord, attach it to something solid, pull with penis until fatigue and continue routine with usual weight plates. Ride that fatigue.

I have been using a bungee cord for several years instead of hanging weights. It is simpler to setup and manage, and I can spend longer periods at tension comfortably.

I hook a clothes hanger to the back of my coffee table, then hook the bungee to the hanger. I sit on my sofa and read or use a tablet computer while attached to the bungee.

I can sit for hours at any tension that is comfortable. I have not seen any noticeable gains yet, but all I know is that I definitely will not see any gains if I don’t do it.

Also worth mentioning that bungee cord hits any angle. Turn a little and feel the left side of your penis on fire before turning to do the same to the right. I definitely can get to fatigue so much faster.

Usually when I’m comfortable, I don’t feel like I’m gaining. I think you should try to get to fatigue and ride it bro. That’s what bib says.

I would just like to throw in my two cents to new hangers.

You can grow without needing to feel the need to grit your teeth and pull out the window grill with your penis.

My main concern is if someone was to injure themselves. Don’t get me wrong, I am not one to advocate hanging 2.5 kg all day long. I personally barely get below 5 kg even at the end of my session.

Not saying that your method isn’t effective carveti. Just wanted to give a little warning to others that when hanging there is a risk of injury.

I agree that there is a concern for injury as the force felt can tremendous at times. Greater force exerted would mean that the hanger has to be clamped down harder on the internal structures. If the penis is not conditioned to both these forces, injury will result.

That said, I would like to propose that individuals can adjust the amount of pulling force to fit their condition. I can not be constantly pulling with grill removal force through the 20 minutes. The load on the neural systems is just too much. Furthermore, I have a little weighing scale I use sometimes with the hanger. Usually, the greatest force I could exert with my body and bungee cord is under 15kg, which for me, someone who has hung 20kg, is not a force great enough to tear something. I am guessing that brothers who are conditioned for certain weights would exert a pulling force similar to that amount as any more would be too much load on their neural systems. Because the pulling force is generated from the body, it would be reflexive to reduce the force when the neural system is overloaded. They would only be able to pulse pull at a high force, which edges them to fatigue faster than a constant lighter weight. Hence, chances of injury can be reduced when compared to using weight plates of the same weight because the body makes adjustments to avoid injury.

Also related to the point I’m trying to make, Based on these assumptions, I would say that bungee cords would be a really safe way for beginners to hang because of the ease that the pulling force can be lowered.

Sorry guys, I hope my explanation of what I am thinking of is clear. All these are suggestions based on my experience as a hanger and someone who has some knowledge in fitness training. Please feel free to criticize.

I’m not knocking bungees or even your methods. I find it interesting. My concern is in regards to people that have just started hanging. They might not know the feedback that their body is giving them. That is the only reason I would advise them that a little caution is needed.

Your method might be great for moving through plateaus.

The force is always exerted by your body, when hanging too. If you are hanging standing, legs, spinal erectors, gluteus are developing the same and opposite force than the weight. Sitting cuts out legs, but puts even more stress on low back and stabilizer muscles. Maybe you are applying the force in a different way that’s why there is a difference in the force you can resist to, a different angle or something like that.
