It will probably still be effective in stretching the ligs given your LOT, but it will not be as effective as BTC. I’m sure you can feel the difference in tension in your ligs with SD vs BTC can you not?

Are you pushing your skin back enough before you wrap?

I think that, if you are letting the skin take enough of the tension, there is a point at which it would actually be more beneficial to do SD than BTC. However, I would imagine that if you pull your skin towards the base as much as possible before wrapping and pull the skin towards the base again before attaching the hanger, you will not reach that point and will place more stress on the ligs through BTC. I guess there is always the possibility that some men have skin so tight that they would get a more efficient workout hanging SD (at least until they stretched the skin) …
