There seems to be lots of felt pads, just cant find the grippers, Ill try to get to home depot this weekend!
What can i use to substitute the grippers?
grippers are at Lowes. same area as the felt pads. Home Depot DOES NOT carry the rubber grippers.
We dont have lowes in Canada!

Goto the poster Monty530’s site (http://www.peweights.com ) he has linked in his post above to order the exact Grippers you want for the Wench that the Capt’n origionally suggested to use. I just orderd all the parts and materials to make a Wench hanger from him at great low prices. :) I tried making a Wench out of hack job materials that were similer to the final product of the Wench which did hang pretty well, but based on all the variables of durability, safety, comfortablity, stretch, etc. I would say I will probally be much happier using what the Captn meant for us to use to hang with a Wench.
BTW MO is in the mail Monty, maybe you already have it? That would be a good thing. :)
