I only do SD manual hanging. I started at 4 kg and gradually increased the weights to 10 kg now. At this weight, I can feel my dick being ripped out of my body but after about a minute it becomes a lot more comfortable and I can easily hang 10 kg for a lot longer.
I disagree with ErroneousZone. My belief is that to maximize gains, one must hang weights as heavy as the dick can handle and for as long as possible. And this has been my personal experience as well.
I’ve always hanged for 20 mins a day because any longer and my hands starts hurting. My best results are coming from 10 kg. Now, I should mention that I hang 10 kg for the first set of 10 mins to shockload the tunica and 7 kg for the 2nd set and I’ve always followed this pattern of higher followed by lower weights.
Needless to say, I’m getting excellent results as you can see in my signature.
Higher weights >>> More time.
