What kind of wrapping for the captain's wench

To appropriately reply, I have to say that I do have a screwdriver. I saw the ones you had at the store but they were a lot bigger than the wench, thus would not fit. I am surely talking about the hose clamp. I will have to have a retirement ceremony for my Cable Clamp. She’s been good to me for the last year and a half or so.

Oh your mistaken my friend, the Turn-Key clamps will go very small if you want. They would work for a Wench easily.

Mtype, in the Captain’s directions, he said they should be 1.5 inches apart (right edge of left gripper from left edge of the other). Of course, the whole point of the velcro is that it’s customizable. You want the grippers to grip the side of the shaft and not the top or bottom. If your wrapping a lot, you may need to go a little wider on grippers. Personally mine are about 1.75” apart.

I’ve never used the Wench as an ADS (I use a silicone sleeve), but from my experience using it as a hanger I don’t think the extra wrapping will help much for slippage (only for comfort). I feel like you still need some kind of object applying the pressure around the Wench.

I’ll look into it again. Honestly, I solely looked at the size and not the rivets to see how far around they went thus being able to see how small it just might get.

Yes you are correct. Guaze does hurt a bit. Since then I’ve switched to what-a-grip.
