I made my own Bib this last weekend out of a 2” pipe coupling cut down to size, a small brass hinge, some picture hangers, a plastic cable clamps cut and glued to outside of the coupling, and lot of hot glue as the inside cushion. ~$15 in all for enough to make two. Then I made another one yesterday modeled after the Bib hardcore with the coupling cut down to a smaller size, without using any hot glue or hangers - just a hole in each side to tie some string to. Both homemade hangers worked well enough for me to hang with 25lbs comfortably without any slipping or parts breaking.
My next model is going to use some springs instead of a hinge, and small U-bolts from a package of wire rope loops to tighten a bolt and wing nut similar to the original Bib. Eventually I want to get to the point where I can make custom parts from a clone-a-willy mold, and have a hanger with interchangeable cushioning I can replace or take out and heat up.
