Don’t be discouraged. I’ve not seen a gain in length or girth in more than 2 years. Of course I haven’t done my workouts as consistently has I’d like, but nevertheless for the amount of hours I’ve done the past year I feel that there should be some gain. But there isn’t. And of course, with reading threads of guy who are gaining inches in months, the discouragement settles in even more. But we have to keep at it. Some are easy gainers, some are hard gainers.
Regarding your experience, in the beginning it’s pretty easy to make gains. Like any physical activity that stresses previously unstressed muscles/tendons/cartilages/etc, when you do it the firts time the body makes great strides to compensate for that new stress buy growin faster. After a while, though, the gains start to come in greater and greater lengths of time. It’s just how we are wired. Of course there are ways to reset the body’s "learnings", by changing the routine and/or stress points regularly (and this not to mean every week or something like that - more like every 3 or 6 months).
