A question for CTC/Condom pump users

Shiver,

Do you know if that it the Catheter Phallosan sells? I have been interested in the Phallosan product for a long time but would never let someone make a 100X mark up on me unless my life depended on it.

In terms of condom pumping, I am not sure anyone really under stands it. I have taken a stab at an explaination or two but never came up with anything that I really liked. It does work though and for me, it didn’t take much fine tuning at all. You have a steller mind and I am sure you will have some insights to offer if you put some time into this.

Cheers,
PS

try water pumping as an alternative to condoms

PeniSmith, I don’t think it’s the exact same model as Phallosan (though I believe I’ve seen it while searching the different brands). I think the one Phallosan offers is classed as a ‘reusable’ condom catheter. I think the main difference is that it doesn’t have the adhesive inside, but instead has a velcro or buckle retainer belt that sits at the end of the catheter to hold it in position. I can’t find the link right now, but believe it was around $3.00 or there abouts. There seem to be many more links to US based suppliers than local here, so I don’t think you’ll have a problem sourcing them.

RootCap, That’s an interesting point that I’ve never considered. I have tried water pumping before, and found that much lower Hg was required to achieve the same results as vacuum, but it wasn’t until you mentioned water, that it crossed my mind that being much more dense, water might have a similar effect to a condom in attaining equilibrium on either side of the skin in some circumstances.

Well, now that you mention it… :)

My IR device is now a radial cylinder shape ever since I took the IR pad to pieces and rebuilt it. I’m considering incorporating this inside the vacuum tube at some point. I never did it before because of the issues of maintaining a seal around any wires etc that the IR material will need while under vacuum. If using an electronically controlled vacuum then it’s not so much an issue because it can be altered to compensate for any minor leaks.

This would be the version 2 of whatever I start out with.

That is an interesting idea. I have also disassembled my IR pad and created a heating chamber. When using it, my penis would bump against one of the pads every once in awhile. This didn’t injure me but it was uncomfortable. I worry about your pads coming undone while you are in the tube. Even if they don’t come undone, it seems like it will be hard to prevent your penis from touching the sides of the IR pad lined tube while pumping. I guess you could use a very large diameter tube, but then you will have to modify the opening to be snug with your base. I am sure you will come up with something interesting.

Even a thin foam donut would be enough to act as a spacer to keep everything in it’s place.

I’ve been thinking a little more about the condom principles…

How about if you take a long baloon and add some water to blow it up to the approximate size of a penis. Cover it in a condom, then roll back the condom momentarily and create some punctures in the baloon with a pin to allow the water to leak out (crude simulation of lymphatic migration). Restoring the condom will hopefully stop most of the water. Place in a vacuum tube and seal the end, then draw say 5Hg out of the tube to see how much water leaks out of the baloon and into the condom.

The above could be repeated with a double condom, catheter, or inner tube. Would the extra sheath limit water egress? Could an additional vacuum gauge be positioned inside the baloon to measure internal and external vacuum differential? Perhaps try it without any holes just to measure the pressure differences.

Just thinking aloud…

I am thinking that the whole condom approach to pumping works in two ways, or maybe in one way with two results.

A tight condom seems to restrict lymphatic build-up during pumping, without inhibiting length stretch, at least according to most of the guys here who have tried it. Later, after the condom is removed, penile tissues seem to over-compensate to having been constricted and in some bounce-back way with the result that post-pump girth is both increased and lasts longer.

This is really makin’ me itch to get the old pump out again. Man it’s been so long since I used it seriously, and the posibility of condom pumping having the effects that you’re talking about is pretty curious. Why couldn’t I have found this place years ago?

Shiver,

Yes I still use the pump and still make progress. The last few months I have only pumped about half-time… I seem to pump for a couple weeks then slack off for a couple weeks, but in spite of that I make gains, just more slowly. That’s my fault… not the pump’s. :)

The cycling is very nice, especially being able to adjust it. Currently I’m using a cycle of 7.5 seconds on, 2.5 seconds off. It seems to keep me a little more “excited” than the old ratio of 25 sec on 5 off. If there’s one thing I can say about pumping: one day’s session of 10 or 20 minutes pumping with a good hard on is worth a week of sessions pumping flaccid. (Where have we heard this before?) :) I still take a break evey ten minutes, and spend a couple minutes out of the tube. Then another 10 minutes.

I thought about condom pumping, but didn’t want to deal with the hassle unless necessary. Here again, having a good raging hard on seems to help alleviate donuts even forming in the first place. (We’ve heard this before, too! I have to agree.) It’s hard to do every single day, but that always seems to result in the best sessions, regardless of whatever else I have done.

Wrt having a hard on, I guess unless the penis wants to let blood in then pulling it in by vacuuming the skin would have limited benefit since it would be difficult to produce the positive net pressure inside the tunica. I have no doubt that pushing from the inside outwards is the way to do it ideally (due to the poor skin thru tunica association). Condom or anything else I see at best a way to avoid straining the skin adhesion and it’s hyper mobility. Chemical enhancement could be a huge help here (viagra style drugs), particularly if the cycled pumping is in any way even slightly stimulating.
