Back in 2017, I had bought this penis pump, and sometime later stopped using it, put it into my closet, and that’s how it stayed for several years. Now I took it out, and had a minor accident, with my penis swelling up. Thankfully it did go back to normal over the next few hours. I had used it for 15 minutes, where it was always 1 minute of peace, followed by 4 minutes with the pump, repeated 3 times. I had contacted an urologist about this, and while I was scolded for bringing it to the state that I did (I had shown photos), he did say that no lasting harm was done.

Was it just me overdoing it, perhaps putting too much pressure, or are these pumps not that great, and I should look into others?

I’ve been using the barhmate since 2017. I never had any swelling buy it did take some time to condition my penis to handle longer and more intense sessions. Intervals are great along with light stretching and jelqingto help loosen up tissue.

It’s edema build up and is normal. Over pumping will cause it to be more significant. Pumping at too high of a vacuum can also cause injury.

Many often convert from water systems, like the Bathmate, to air systems that have a pressure gauge. This allows one to monitor the vacuum level as well as to have repeatability.

Edema (fluid build up) from too much time under vacuum or at too high of vacuum is typically not a problem and will subside.

Break your routine into shorter sessions. For instance, 6 minutes pumped, 2 minutes massage and rest. Then repeat.

I still always warm up 10-15 min with NIR+RED pad. Even when pumping. Also, you did not mention if you eased back into this or thought you could go all at it in one swoop.

I only pumped after a newbie routine of 6 months to get the D ready for this, I know you don’t have to do that but I am saying I was building up for something more… pumping, clamping, hanging ,whatever

@Ill not saying this for you but for anyone else reading this. You don’t stop working out for 5 years and then go at the same weight set and say, I got this?!
