Advice on pumps

I have a few people telling me to get a bath mate pump, but for my use a air pump that I can use in bed would work better due to privacy, they also told me air pumping was out dated. How true is all this.

You can do water pumping with an air-pumping cylinder. You can’t do air pumping with a bathmated. The Bathmate costs several hundreds of $ more than a regular, good cylinder.

You must be talking to Bathmate salesmen. Get that LeLuv package I linked you to. Way cheaper, way safer to use and way more versatile to use.

One more thing about Bathmates. There are really only 2 places to use that pump, in the shower or in the tub and that means using hot water and paying for that hot water.

Actually they are not expensive as they were, but still more expensive than a solid cylinder with a metal pump, and they have no gauge. I don’t think it’s such a bad item any more, but there is no reason to buy it .

The choice is easily made.

Yeah and that was my point with the bath mate, I wanted something I could use in bed, because I am also fixing to have a water bill

Cost of water/heating should not be meaningful. However, flexibility of how and where to use a pump is extremely important. I do a lot of pumping in bed and do not consider the limitations of the BM acceptable.

Just for reference, depending on what kind of heating and or air conditioning system your house or apartment has, the water heater is the 2nd or 3rd most expensive appliance to run.
