Bathmate vs Penomet Vacuum Gauge Pressure Readings

Check out the video in post #2 of the linked thread. It shows the vacuum pressure capabilities of first the Bathmate, and then all of the gaiters on the Penomet.

The Bathmate has the highest pressure on the order of 16 to 17”hg which is dangerously high and even higher then I ever thought it was.

The Penomet pressures for all sleeves are 10”hg or higher, so for pumping newbies all of these sleeves can easily cause bruising damage. A good starting pressure for newbies is in the 3"hg range.

So for pumping newbies using these devices, care should be taken not to come anywhere close to pumping up to their full vacuum pressure capabilities.

Isn’t that something? I was wrong when I recently said I thought it was 12 hg based on something I heard. Well I guess I wasn’t wrong, what I had heard was wrong. I’ll tell you what, I’ve said this time and time again, if your new and want to pump start with an air pump. I still use my BM I did yesterday because of privacy issues and I stand by it being a decent way over priced tool but not a stand alone. I did two sessions yesterday of 15 mins and I had a nice pump all day and I don’t over pump, but keep in mind I’m pumping close to three years now.
