Confusion over pump gauge reading

Confusion over pump gauge reading

Hi all, long time lurker/reader..

I have casually pumped (no pressure gauge) for a couple years, but am now looking at getting serious, I picked up a pump with a pressure gauge (and have a Bath-mate on order), but am confused by the pressure levels on the gauge. I have seen numerous posts suggesting to pump between 2Hg and 5Hg so that you don’t have to much trauma to the penis.

But this gauge has 2 different values going from -0.1 to -1.0 and then also another set of numbers that say 0 to -30. On the gauge the -0.2 is just a little higher then then the -5 so I’m not sure which set of numbers I should be using? I have attached an image of the gauge to this post in the hope that some one can enlighten me.

Cheers and thanks in advance for any help you can provide and also a BIG thanks for providing SO much information for people that are trying to start out in PE!

Use the outside values, the -5 = 5 hg.

The outside numbers are the correct ones to use. Keep it at or under 5 and eveything should be ok.

Great, thanks Pillar and Plein for the help!

Cheers!

I have a gauge like that. I usually do around 7hg, then I bump it up to nearly 15hg at times.

Starting BPEL= 6.7 " EG= 6.5"

July 2016 BPEL=7" EG=6.75"

Goal NBPEL=8" x EG=7"

Hg is the chemical symbol for mercury . A vacuum is measured by how many inches a column of mercury (in a glass tube) will rise based on the amount of vacuum pulling on it. Penis pumpers measure the vacuum applied to the penis in inches of mercury. A lot of guys here just say Hg when they mean “in. Hg” (which is what is says at the bottom of your gauge). Because a vacuum is less pressure than the atmoshere, it is often shown as a negative number (-5 in. Hg), but again guys here just use a positive number.
