Cylinder base padding

Hey,

What does everyone here who bought gravel cleaners or other homemade cylinders put on the base of their cylinders for padding? Do most people just use a bunch of electrical tape? Is there some sort of clear caulking kind of stuff that you can put on the base that is sort of rubbery? I’ve seen rubber base rings on pump sites, but I don’t want to order one for like $20. Thanks.

The place where I bought my pump sold this general base silicone gasket (one size fits all)… It worked so well for me that the very next day I went and bought a spare… Might be worth a try…

This one works well for a 2” diameter tube. Totally dumb luck that I found it.
