Donut effect bad?

Why is the donut effect undesirable? I have noticed that when I clamp I have some fluid buildup in general, but on occasion have noticed that the are around my circ scar has a bit more than everywhere else. Why is this undesirable when pumping? Does this help with FR, or is it a completely negative element when pumping?

Some pumpers like donuts. Some also argue the more donuts you get, the more donuts you will develop,and sooner during a session. Donuts are skin related and not really a PE benefit. It’s possible with constant fluid build up the shaft skin will grow thicker but donuts are often inflated much more so than the rest of the shaft skin. My answer for you is, start pumping, get a donut and you’ll understand why some people don’t like them. I’m pretty sure clamping donuts are nothing compared to it. Once you get donuts you pretty much have to end the pumping session, and that cuts down on the PE value of the pump.

Some people also use the pumped penis for sex, a donut would make sex much more difficult if at all possible.

Clamping, owing to the nature of the exercise, doesn’t use suction to produce an inflation but rather uses an artificial constriction to allow internal blood flow (vs external…as if you would be connected via IV to some monstrous plasma bag…hmmmm) to produce an exagerated erection. This reduces, but doesn’t eliminate, the formation, over time (dx/dt) of a donut. I have found, through experimentation upon my own nether regions, that one can develop a bit of tolerance for higher pressures than might be routinely used by the average (non-PE) pumper without developing a “donut”. Glazed or otherwise. But I have also found that a donut can develop, even below 5hg, if you pump for a long time.

I’ve had donuts before form clamping. Rather serious ones I would imagine. The donut effect for me has come from really long sessions in the clamp and the fluidbuildup is all over the shaft, but doing consistent squeezes and bends to the same general area causes the donut effect. For me I squeeze for the greatest surface area to be effected, which is right above my circ scar focusing the pressure down against the clamp. This is where the fluid usually gets pushed into a donut, and when this has happened the skin will actually overlap my flaccid penis covering most of the head. I have a slightly restored foreskin but this gives nearly complete coverage, but this has only happened on two or three occassions and it dissipates quickly as subsequent workouts did not yield as high a fluid buildup. It’s mainly after I’ve taken a break from clamping that this happens.

When I start pumping I’ll more than likely do one to two sets of 5-8 minutes just go get used to it at 3-5 hg for the two sets. Then I’ll move into a ten minute session utilizing jelqs in between sets. If this goes well and there is little donut effect and I’m growing then I may incorporate other squeezes, short jelqs, etc.

If donut effect is prominent then I will use the wrap method. Can anyone fill me in as to how i might wrap the area? I noticed in a few pictures that it looked like the ace bandage had been doubled up (folded over) and then wrapped, is this correct or was it a shorter ace wrap (width)?

Here’s a little trick that works real well to eliminate a formed “donut”. Just take a 3 inch strip of duct tape, pull your dry shaft skin over your glans and tape closed over your glans. Leave on for 10 - 15 minutes and your “donut” fluid should have dispersed evenly back into your shaft. Remove the tape carefully. This works for me.

The donut effect is bad when pumping because it is an indication you are pumping with too much pressure or staying in the tube to long. My main goal when pumping is to not donut. It’s hard to do but you find you have to pump at very low pressure.

Low pressure and short amounts of time in the tube at once is the best way to avoid the Donut Effect?

Sorry about the image shattering. You’re probably more likely to catch me in some cargo shorts and a vintage aloha shirt.

But getting back on topic, as far as “donuting” goes, I have actually used the skin stretching effects from “donuting” to help me restore some of my foreskin. My dick is so conditioned now after many years of pumping, that I don’t ever get donuts from shorter sessions at modest pressures. Occasionally, when I do a longer marathon pump, I’ll get some donuting around my circumcision scarline, and that’s when I use the duct tape for fluid dispersal from that area resulting in a natural looking but much thicker dick.

Long sessions, short sets at low pressure with lots of wet, sloppy jelqing and massaging in between. Always milk the tube, try to stay hard, warm and do the Hokepokey and turn your self around.

Yeah. I hear you. I actually like all the new skin I’ve gotten from pumping, I call it skin-girth. I even use the donut to keep the ADS rings on, but I still think it is best to avoid the Krispy Kremes as much as possible.
