Health risks of pumping?

12

jays,

Yes, I think you are right about inches of pressure meaning in. hg. For some reason I kept miss-interpreting it as psi.

But, bizzabolla, the question still remains, what pressure are you using and how long do you pump for?

I pump once a day for around 5 minutes, raising the pressure after each minute. I usually finish on about 20 inches mercury of pressure. I do feel some discomfort, but I assume this is just part of it. Maybe my gauge is a bit messed up because 4-5 HG (assuming that this is the same way of measurement as mine) doesn’t seem to yield any results. Thanks,

You are going to have to do some serious reading about the correct way to pump, because you are doing it dangerously wrong.

Five minutes is not long enough for your cock to stabilize and expand under pressure and you will not see results. For a newbie, you should be doing two 10 minute sets with a massage break inbetween pump sets.

When you start going to 10 minute sets, just set the pressure at 5 in hg and do sets of kegels while in the tube and milk the tube. After your second pump set of 10 minutes I think you will see results.

20 in hg is way way too high and you should stop. What kind of pump do you have? Has any damage been done to the gauge? Dropped it, got it wet? If so, either buy a new gauge or buy a new pump.

I posted this caution long ago on this subject from my own experience…

Injury Caution…

bizabolla,

Please, please back off from high levels of vacuum . . . GPrent and the others know from bitter experience what can happen. As a point of reference, would you DOUBLE your blood pressure from 120 mmHG to 240 mmHG if you could just for kicks? I think not as you would be in serious trouble and ripe for a stroke, aneurism, or heart attack.

Well, the blood pressure in your groin is about 110 mmHg or about 4.5 inches of Hg. When you apply 4 inches of Hg vacuum with a pump and tube, you have effectively DOUBLED the pressure gradient across those very delicate tissues in the groin. Sure, the internal pressure of the cavernosa with a full erection is maybe 400-500 mm Hg, but the plumbing internal to the groin is not at that pressure nor are the tissues outside the cavernosa - and, a lot of us do not hold a full erection the entire time we pump.

Please be careful,

MrTiPS

Thanks for all the advice, I will defently take heed to it. I have tried today pumping at 10 inches for 10 minutes, and it gave even better results than pumping at the foolish amounts of pressure I was to begin with, plus minus all blood spotting. Thanks again,

BB
