Now. The Cheapest cylinder? I’ve searched , was wondering if it was ok to hook up one of the cylinders from one of them 15 dollar pumps to it. Has anyone else done this. Bought a cheap Pump device and just used the cylinder?

I’ve heard of it being done: they should be compatible if the inner diameter of the connector hose is the same.

If you are good at plumbing you can hook up anything, but those cheap cylinders can be a waste of money at any price. Depends on what you go with.

Congratulations on buying the Harbor Freight pump! You’ve got a quality metal pump with a gauge.
Is it OK to connect it up to a cylinder from an inexpensive pump set? Of course! More important is how the cylinder component compares to your needs (think Gprent’s thread Selecting Your Cylinder Size) and how you USE it; what your routine is.

How cheap?
The Kaplan tubes are reasonable quality, and probably cheaper than the products from LA Pump or Vacutech, but personally I am not a fan of their shape (tapered toward the head). I think it makes it too easy to pack the tube at the head before you’ve gotten full expansion of the shaft.
Still, they’re probably the intermediate price and quality product between the inexpensive tubes and LA Pump or Vacutech.

I’m not going to search out cheap cylinders for you. Find a couple you think you might be interested in and I will give you my opinion. Don’t pick any with rubber booties on the base. Those are all crap.

It’s been awhile since I have been on here.
I was going to get into pumping, I was curious about it many months ago but I am now ready to go at it.
So my questions:
1.Is that the only pump that harbor-freight sells?
2.Are (I believe they are called) lap dist cylinders any good?
I was actually going to go with this set up, but again it’s been so long I really don’t remember
