Is Dr. Kaplan pump ok to use in the bath tub?

Just wondering if anyone knows in the Kaplan pump is ok to use while in warm bath water?

I wouldn’t submerge it, if that’s what your asking, definitely not, the cylinder, yea, of course,
but not the pump itself.

Since you have the same pump as I, word to the wise, DO NOT follow his directions,
read all you can in the Pumper’s forum here before you use it daily.

Thanks EZ. Yeah, thats what I meant, I was just going to submerge the cylinder. I wasnt going to follow his routine. I figured that I would stick with what Avocet8 outlined in his Vacuum Pumping 101 thread.

I’m not a pumper, but I have thought about it (& still do on occasion). I just saw Kaplan’s name, so I checked in.

Isn’t it ironic that “Mr. Pump” himself can’t even provide safe & effective directions for use of his pumps - a Kaplan customer has to be fortunate enough to know of a place like this where he can get good info.

Just wondering if anyone has heard word about the outcome of the “permanence” study Kaplan conducted due to pressure by the U.S. FDA.

Some hand pumps are designed to be used with fluids, others are not. Putting the cylinder under water and pumping the air out of it might cause water to enter the cylinder and then the pump. This might damage the pump.

Don’t submerge your Kaplan pump. Westla is right, even if you just submerge only the cylinder the water will enter the pump and fuck up the gauge and rust the spring. There is a cheap copycat pump called the Dr. Joel pump, made by Doc Johnston Inc. The pump is a piece of crap, but amazingly it works very well under water. I’ve been using it in the hot tub, because I don’t care if it is ruined, but so far, it has been pretty resilient. I just take it apart and dry it after use with a hair dryer. I use it with aquarium gravel cleaner for a tube, (Pet’s Mart $6.00) so I don’t subject my good cylinders to the chlorine.

Water gives a really good pump, the water somehow seems to cushion the dick more allowing me to spend more time in the tube with less lymphatic fluid build up. I still get the fullness, but not the sponginess post workout. Really is a nice way to end a hard hanging and jelqing workout. Then I wrap in the magnetic TheraP wrist wrap that keeps me loosely extended while I sleep. I’ve been warned by a couple of vets about sleeping wrapped, so also be warned that this is dangerous, but I’m risking it, because for me it is working. I’m a light sleeper and a frequent pisser. I’m also seeing some really nice flaccid length and girth gains. But I won’t update my stats till I’m sure they’re here to stay.

Wad, if you order directly from the Kaplan Company they send pretty helpful literature, but the Dr. Joel Co. claims to be associated with Kaplan, and they send some pretty bogus instructions with their hand pump system, a one page sheet saying things like you can pump for 30 minutes at 10 in hg to begin with and working your way up to two hours. Stupid shit like that.
