lube for pumping

I have a standard straight cylinder from LA pumps and I want it to stay nice and transparent, and of course I don’t want it to leak air, considering the money I paid for it.

This brings me to my question - is vaseline safe to use in the cylinder? or I need to use other lubricants and if yes what are the least expensive ones?

I think the water soluble are the best and easiest to clean up. In the states the Target and Wal Mart stores sell their own generic brand of KY Jelly that is about half the price of KY and goes for around $2 per tube.

I think Aloe Vera gel would be good, too.

I tried pumping with KY today and it was good. The cylinder was clear and it was easy to clean it after the session, easier than vaselin.

The only thing I don’t like about water based lubes - they dry out too fast, so I had to add a little bit of water.

I use Albolene, it’s very slick & cleans up with water. I also found a wonderful little added thrill can be had by first smearing on a little Vikc’s Vapo Rub, the warm feeling is so intense I get an instant hard on to enter my pump & jelqing during rest periods is much more pleasurable.

Try using Valeline just on the base rim, and a water soluble lube on your shaft and just inside the tube. I’ve done this for 4 years on one of my LA Pump tubes; never any discoloration or deterioration. And the Vaseline promotes a tighter seal, imo.

If you can get white vaseline, that is better as it is slightly water soluble, and with a spot of KY and water, will bind together and make a good long lasting lubricant

And it’s easier to clean off afterwards.

I like to use a thick hand cream around the opening to ensure a good seal, and then baby oil on my shaft as it doesn’t dry out.
