New To Pumping. Will Length Suffer Long Term?

From info I have gathered you should always do length work first. Hanging was always th e priority until getting to the desired length I would not do any pumping or girth work. I really want to try something new and try pumping but I’m afraid I will sacrifice long term length goals. Is it a myth that if you go for girth via pumping it will hard to go back to something like hanging to get length gains?

Thank you Andy. I actually have an la pump and a bath mate I’m assuming the tube that is tighter would be for gaining length ? And a bathmate would generally be more for girth?

I was just on the leluv website and in there pump section they give advice on sizing and goals. It seems to fall in line with everything regarding this matter. Thunder’s guys agree. Me I can’t really appreciate my length gains as much because my girth gains came with it. I believe you can gain both simultaneously. So it depends on how strong your head game is. If you just stick it out and play with different pressures and techniques you will gain. My 2 cents. 😉

My experience is the same as AndyJ’s. I’ve gained length and girth even when not so interested in the length.

If you’re just using pumping I think it’s a myth.

If I was pumping for length I’d make sure to have a tube that I packed easily so that the pressure focuses on pulling length wise. Just be cautious with pressure so you don’t blister your head. Most of the pressure is focussed right there so take a slow and steady approach.

Okay guys sounds good. Is there a standard pumping routine? Or like a newbie routine? I wonder if oumping protocols require as much rest as hanging. The guys in the hanging section really reccomend not over doing it or gains become slowed

Start with 10 minutes at 3" for a few days. Then bump it to 5" for a while, then 7", assuming you’re not running into edema, petechiae, or EQ issues.

Past that, you can either increase time or vacuum. There doesn’t seem to be any concensus on which is best. My aquarium pump conversion only pulls about 5" of vacuum, so I just increased time, though I need to see about a pump upgrade.
