Pain at the Base when Pumping

12

The most likely explanation, after cheap poorly manufactured tubes, is that you have some otherwise unnoticeable damage to the tissue there. Try completely avoiding any PE, masturbation, or wearing a cockring for a week and then see if it pumping still causes pain.

The only other reason I can think of would be you have some shallow, particularly sensitive tissue there that most of us either don’t or usually have deeper - the bulb of the penis, some pubic muscle, a nerve, or something like that.

Do you use lube?

Yes, I lube and then go in fully erect.

The reason I suggest a narrower cylinder is because that seemed to solve the problem for me. Once I packed the tube, the pain went away.

But why is it that you and I and maybe one other guy are the only ones who have complained about this crushing feeling? I’m not sure. The only air pumps I’ve used are LeLuv and Vacu-Tech, and both are trusted brands here as far as I know. But packing seemed to solve my problem.

So when you pump, where do you feel the pressure?

For me it is about 90% at the base.

My pain was specifically on the underside where the shaft connects to the scrotum.

I’m just gonna throw this idea out there. If you need a narrower cylinder than what’s currently available on Vacu-Tech’s website, they apparently makes custom sizes.

I am considering purchasing a Vacu-tech cylinder.

Their website says that the flared cylinder opening is designed with a ¼” restriction for easy vacuum seal. Not sure what they mean by that. I tried to call them several times but they were too busy to take my call.

Maybe the silicone flanges are the problem? They’re painful for me and so I never use them, might have thrown them away.

It could also be you don’t have enough skin to facilitate the expansion, so it’s causing excessive pulling on that spot.

It could also be that you have a low body fat percentage. More of a fat pad at the base of the penis seems to be beneficial for pumping in multiple areas: better seal, less skin stretching on the penis itself. It can really hurt when the pump is pressing directly on the pelvic bone.

Might also be a lube issue not allowing the skin to slide if it needs to.

I use a lube made with glycerin, distilled water, l-arginine or very small amount of guar gum, and sometimes a little bit of menthol. It makes cleaning the tube much easier than when using oil lube, it’s less likely to be colonized by bacteria or fungus because the glycerin, and it doesn’t seem to go rancid like cooking oil. Glycerin irritates some people’s skin, but it’s fine on mine. If you’re the type to not clean out your tube regularly, it might be a good idea. I left a tube I wasn’t using dirty with oil for a few days and when I got around to cleaning it I could see very clear mold mycelium spreading inside the tube.

Goal: 11.5"bplx7" 2021.

Every now and then, more then than now, I get a little “pinch” feeling for a minute or two on the top right side of my shaft right at the base. Feels like the tissue, as it engorges, gets a little too tight and there is some strain or tension at that point. When I get out of the tube after that set I jelq like always do between every set, and when I go back in the tube there’s no more pain.

@frypup do you jelq as a warm up before you start pumping? I would suggest doing so, it can warm your cock up pretty good and all the movement of blood up and down and stretching and massaging of the ligaments and tissue, etc., might help that pain issue go away. Also, when you warm up before you start pumping, try to make sure a lot of heat is applied to the base of your cock all around it. I’ve always found that it helps with comfort and reduces the chances for pinching types of pain.

Starting length, Spring 2003: bpel 6 3/8", bpfsl ~6 1/2", flaccid ~3-4" (never measured flaccid stretched or hanging flaccid; starting girth was probably ~5"-5 1/4")

Summer 2004: bpel 7 7/8", bpfsl 8 1/8", flaccid ~4", erect girth 5.3"

Spring 2018: bpel 7 1/4", bpfsl 7 5/8", erect girth 5 1/8"; Spring 2020: bpel 7 3/4", bpfsl 8", erect girth 5 3/8". Current - August 2023: bpel 7 3/4", bpfsl 8", erect girth mid shaft 5 1/4" (5 1/2" at base)

Disclaimer: Post is for entertainment purposes only. Zero liability past, present, future. Switched to the thicker tapered base and also have a wide flange design cylinder. Both work good and are comfortable.

Why don’t you get some toilet paper and fold it a few times into a rectangle shape. One done, put it inside of the tube between the shaft and scrotum to reduce the pressure at the base which should apply it higher in the shaft.

It may help create a better seal. Let me know if it helps and it’s cheap and easy to do.

Just recently I have experienced the same thing. Right side. It may be a vein in the testicle? I am quite tell exactly. Maybe a vein running down my shaft into my gouch. But I still use the pump and don’t over do it with my first 5 min set. (I do 3 sets 5 min.)

My very first set is to only get my pubic area and base of shaft to feel pressure and build. If I can do this correctly I don’t have as much pain the 2nd and3rd set. I’m new to pumping but have seen AMAZING results. I’m not giving up on it yet because of the pain. I will find a way.

Congrats on starting your PE journey. Like I said upthread, the pain issue went away once I started using a smaller cylinder.

Yes, using a smaller cylinder works but only once the tube is packed almost the whole length of the penis. But by then dangerous to pump more as most of pressure is on the glans.

I had this exact same issue, pain under the shaft like a vein in my balls was gonna get sucked into the tube. My solution was to pump my full package for 20-30 mins then pumping my shaft. I use an oxballs juicy silicone pad for 30 mins with the cock tube, Then I’ll switch back to the jar for 10-20, and back again until I begin to lose eq. I can pump without the pad after the first I cycle to eliminate that gator bite, and I usually end the session in the jar.

To FryPup and anyone else who still struggles to pump without a pain in the balls, I think I have a good solution. I mentioned before using a smaller cylinder. That’s one way to get around the pain. But if you want to graduate to a bigger cylinder but still feel the pain, try pumping laying down on a bed with the cylinder pointed toward the ceiling. No pain (for me), just mild pressure where the shaft meets the sack.
