Pain at the Base when Pumping

Pain at the Base when Pumping

Whenever I penis pump, the limiting factor is pain at the base. This limits how much pressure I can use. Anything above 3 HG causes too much discomfort at the base.

I have tried sleeves and it still hurts.

Any ideas on how to solve this is greatly appreciated.

I am guessing that your tube does not have a large base flange or a flange gasket and the tube is digging in as the pressure increases. If this is the case, you can order a silicone flange gasket that will cushion the tube as you use it. A more expensive option is to purchase a thick wall tube or one with a large base flange.

I once had a thin wall cylinder and the flange gasket ripped and resulted in similar situation as you described. I applied several coats of plasti dip on the base, which was an improvement, but was still uncomfortable. Ultimately I got a new tube with base flange.

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

Try to use a pump where the suction stays on the shaft and not the whole member

Look at the pump toys cylinders.

I have pumptoys and LA pump cylinders and they hurt at the base when using them.

Could it be something I am doing wrong?

The only other item I can think of is to confirm that your gauge is working properly. Do you have another pump and/or gauge to compare to? My pistol style brake bleeder pump only requires 3 or 4 pumps to get to -3 inHg vacuum, which is not much vacuum pressure.

I have had this issue for years. Used a different pump before and same issue.

I cannot understand why others would not have the same issue that I am having.

Do you get erect first and then use the pump?

I’ve had the same pain issue, actually. It feels like the base of the pump is crushing the part where the penis meets the sack, right? I solved the problem by using a narrower cylinder, one that allowed me to pack the pump. I hesitated on recommending this because some veterans here have had blisters from packing the pump, and since I’m new to pumping, what do I know?

I’ve been pumping for three 15-minute sessions at about 5 hg. To avoid blisters, I recommend aborting a session if you ever feel any pain.

Yes, where the penis meets the sack. When I use a pump that is close to my penis girth, the cylinder still digs into my body and I get pain also on top area of shaft where it meets the body. This is where the dorsal vein is. Once I had bleeding there because cylinder was putting so much pressure there.

Have you tried a narrower cylinder?

If you do buy a new pump, I strongly recommend Vacu-Tech’s oval-shaped cylinders. This might not solve your pain issue, but I’m just recommending it because I think the oval-shape ought to be the new industry standard since they fit the penis so much better than circular cylinders.

Also, Vacu-Tech claims the rims of all their cylinders are designed for comfort. I don’t know if that’s actually true, but personally I’ve never experienced any of that crushing pain from using them.

Yes, have tried a narrower cylinder.

Do you go in erect when pumping?

Do you use lube?

I use lots of lube, either coconut oil or just a good lotion. I stretch my sack out beforehand because it does get sucked into the tube. I dont worry about it and just let it happen. It doesnt seem to effect growth at the base. I have ED so going in erect is pretty much a non starter for me. Maybe a semi, but not full.

Is the base of your cylinder nice and smooth? I did have a cheap one that was rough and I needed to sand it some to smooth out plastic casting remains.

I had a similar my last session. I use a 2.25 cylinder pumping at 8 usually do 2x 10 minutes. Two days ago I did 3x when I came out the cylinder I had 2 blisters on ball sack by the base. Lesson learned I will stick with pumping at 8g/ 2x 10 minutes session with a one-minute break in between.

I like when I come out the cylinder I am 6.5 girth which is my long term goal. 9BPEL x 6.5EG

Yes, the base is smooth.

I am just so confused. I see photos of people using a cylinder with no flange or silicone cushion and they pump with no problems. Some even pump at pressures above 10 HG without issue.

Also I do not see any posts of others complaining about the pain at base issue. For me it is a big obstacle to pumping at enough enough pressures to get any results.
