Some like them. In my opinion most do not use them as they generally will tear pretty quickly with use. I dont use one. The larger a flange is the more comfortable it is. Also check the ID of it to make sure you can fit in it. Some guys have reports of it being too tight, which leads to trimming it which leads to ripping which leads to cant get a seal which leads to throwing it away.
One size fits all (tube or penis) is not an accurate characterization.
