Pressure gauge for water pumping

Would this work as a pressure gauge for water pumping?

You would have to check with the supplier to see if it is waterproof. But if the advertisement doesn’t say waterproof; it is unlikely

…or engine vacuum. I looked at the link to make sure that it did vacuum as well as pressure. Not every gauge does. In fact, I’d say this one was the exception.

Now, as to how it works with water - good question. Obviously it handles liquids if it does fuel pressure, but compatibility with gasoline (or petroleum products) is one thing; whether it will handle water is another.

Why would he need to put water through it? Just hang the gauge up out of the way. Use a t-fitting just beyond the end of the tube. Run one hose from the T to the gauge and another to suck on or to use a vacuum pump if your mouth muscles are extraordinarily weak.
