Today was my second day pumping and I’ve got to say that, all things considered, it has gone pretty well. I’ve been following the avocet “pumping 101” routine pretty closely. One of the few exceptions being that I am only doing pumping, sort of a study-of-one science experiment, if you will.

Today, one of my testicles twice was sucked up into the tube and I lost pressure. It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t pleasant, either. From this experience, I have learned that if you are at risk for this complication, angle the tuble slightly downward. It will help. More to come on that as I progress.

I’ve also got to mention that it is difficult to fight the temptation to over pump. Several times, I wanted to increase the pressure. There are two reasons for this. One, it is human nature (or at least male nature) to think that more is better. Second, pumping feels good. So, if five inches Hg feels good, then 10 must feel awesome, right?

I’m really looking forward to the next several weeks and couple of months when my dick builds up to the ability to really expand inside the tube. Even though it retracts considerably once the tube is removed, the sight itself is cool and inspiring. It makes me think things are headed in the right direction.

I’m also looking foward to the possibility of increased flaccid length. According to avocet, flaccid length will increase over the course of the first couple of pumping months. If all I got out of pumping was increased flaccid length, I would consider it a worth while venture. Though, I believe I’ll end up with more.

As a final note, if through my postings, any of you experienced pumpers would like to lend some of your knowledge, it would be appreciated by me as well as every other junior pumper, here.

If flaccid length is one of your goals then you want to make sure not to use too much pressure and cause trauma. Of course in general your body doesn’t like to be injured, but injuries to your penis tend to make it want to shrink as it heals and shrinkage is the last thing you need when going for improved flaccid size.

So as you progress with your pumping career, avoid adding more pressure, just concentrate on slowly adding more time. Once you get up to a total session time of 30 minutes, you will see significant expansion.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Does 5 in Hg sound like a good pressure level? I don’t exceed that. I’ll be following the avocet progression program (pumping 101) which involves only increases in time and none in pressure. Sound solid?

Also, I plan on pumping everyday. What do you think of that approach?

You should keep an eye on EQ, I followed the 101 approach but noticed my EQ getting poor when I was at 3x15 min for 5 days on 2 days off so I started to back down. I’m now doing 3x11 min at 4-5 in HG.

How far into the routine did you notice your EQ was beginning to decline? Did you find that the changes you made fixed the problem?

I noticed my morning wood declined when I got to 3X15min following the 101 time schedule. I took a few days break and started off with 3x10 min at low pressure and I got better EQ again. You will have to see for yourself how much and how long your dick can handle =)

For me 5”hg is too much as I have grown more sensitive to pumping over the years. That is why I pump now at only 3 to 3.5”hg, but still get great expansion results. I think it is best to use the lowest pressure possible to get the results you desire. For me, the pressure is not so important as the time. That’s why I always go for at least 30 minutes total pump time, usually in three 10 minute sets. The first 10 minute set gives very little expansion, but after the third 10 minute set, my girth expansion is 1/2” to 3/4”.

I know it is difficult to take breaks, but it really does improve the result. Break time give the tissue time to restore itself and also time to lock in results. In a one week time frame I might go 2 on 1 off, 3 on 1 off.

Some time ago gprent made an excellent suggestion about EQ which I have repeated many times here.

At the end of each PE session, work yourself up to a firm erection. If you can do this, then you know you have not overdone some aspect of your routine.
