Pumping without a gauge

Ei guys, so i’ve bought a pump without a gauge and added pumping to my routine.
I started with 5m and been adding 1m per week.
I don’t know how much the pressure is but i guess it’s more than 5hg.
Haven’t had any EQ problems or negative PI’s so i’m going to continue doing it and keep adding 1m per week.

Thanks for the initial imput Lampwick.

01/03/2009- NBPEL:5.1; EG:4.6.

01/05/2010- NBPEL:6.1; EG:4.7.

Long Term Goal- NBPEL: 7.0; EG:5.5

Good luck, Tuga.Viajante, and let us know how it goes for you.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

It would be far, far cheaper and more painless for me to get a gauge-less pump (considering I’m planning to import from the US and potentially face embarrassment should my shipment face delays/searches/etc. on the way over).

Assuming I am a sensible PEer who won’t go straight in the deep-end, would buying a gauge-less pump to start out with be a terrible move? If the dangers of starting out gauge-less are significant, I could still opt for a more expensive imported model, although next year I’ll be in a better financial situation, and can go all out on a deluxe model from a UK source.

Start (Initially August 2008, Properly November/December 2008): 6.9x4.9

Currently (September 2010): 8.5x5.75 (6.25 inch head girth)

If you can refrain from overdoing, you can certainly start with a gauge-less pump. If you continue to be happy with the cylinder, you can always upgrade the pump and hose component later with something like an automotive-type vacuum pump (of the sort used for bleeding brakes). That would probably be both less expensive and better than a pump with a gauge labeled as a penis pump, anyway.

Two common mistakes to avoid are these:

  • Calibrating your pumping effort by pumping to the point of pain or discomfort, then backing down the vacuum a little. Pain or discomfort are not reliable indicators of safety or effectiveness.
  • Continuing to increase vacuum levels until you can ‘feel it’. Again, not an accurate way of measuring safe vacuum levels with consistency. You can do safe and effective work without ‘feeling it’.

People, buy the gauge. I was a “home made tube without a gauge” user for years and aah cra**p, why did i waste those years.. Just get a good cylinder, lubricant, pump handle with a gauge and a silicone sleeve or similar and there you are. I mean its your penis, try to invest some money into it.

My pump unfortunately broke. Luckily I got a good 4 weeks with it before it did so I was really able to feel out how I felt at around 4-5 HG, been water pumping using my mouth to create pressure and its been working out great. I think its important to start off with a pump till you get more of a feel for how it is at different pressures, once you know that I don’t see much use for a gauge except for re-assurance.

Here’s a reason, TSX1000: monitoring your vacuum to keep it constant for the duration of a session. Slight vacuum leakage - or penile expansion - is going to change the vacuum level. Without a gauge, how do you keep the vacuum level constant? ‘By feel’ is not going to be very precise.

My first vacuum system included a cylinder and a vacuum bulb pump. I found that once I created a decent vacuum by squeezing the bulb I could very slowly increase the suction by sucking the end of the bulb with my mouth. Also works well with wet pumping. I subsequently purchased an inexpensive pump with gauge on-line from a scientific supply co. I don’t remember the name of the retailer, but the pump has a Fischer Scientific label on the box. I found it by Googling it. I also purchased a connector so I can attach it to several of my cylinders. By using the gauge pump on the different cylinders I now have a good feel for safe vacuum levels on each different cylinder so I know how far to go with the bulb which is very sensitive to change when using my mouth.

How to pumping correctly without a gauge safely?Time and size.

I’m a newbie i have a bathmate hydropumping i already pumped few times. And i already opened a similar thread just for bathmate’s users. But unlikely without answer.By the way i think water pumping is not so different to air pumping i’ll repeat the question to everyone.First of all we have to consider a point:A pump without a gauge can’t give us pressure as a measurement. So we have to consider lenght of our penis while we are pumping compared to our Bpel (our natural erect lenght)

For example if i’m 18 cm and i’m pumping at 16,2 cm if we find out a percentage we can say i’m pumping at 90% of my potential(Bpel). On the other side if i’m 18cm and i’m pumping at 19,8 means i’m pumping at 110% of my full potential. The second point equally important is the time of the sessions.I would like some advice from you veterans on both the point first percentage of your bpel while pumping and second the time of session to achieve gains without damage your unit

I rather think your lack of replies is due to the calculations you are making.

They would seem to me, to be too academic. A statisician might want to discuss it with you, but it is unlikely that the averge member here would understand what you are trying to discuss.

I would imaagine most members who did pump without a gauge would use the feel of ‘pressure’ to rate how much vacuum they are using. That would then be combined with the look and colour of their penis and hopfully adjust to something comfortable. - even if a little low.

Roobie,
How are your results with the BATHMATE?

I noticed that the bathmate is very wide! It will give a lot of girth results. Maybe good idea to use it in conjunction with a regular pump that is thinner (smaller diameter) to then focus on length.

Maybe one set with BATHMATE other with a regular pump of smaller diameter. Or One complete session BATHMATE then the other day 1 Set Bathmate/ 1 Set regular pump? There’s a few options to play around with.

Later

Robbie I merged your thread with this one. Look preceeding posts, it can be useful.

I’m not a pro-pumper, but I think your calculations are not that reliable because the length you reach while in the tube is mostly influenced by the diameter of the cylinder.

Where can I get a gauge from if I already have a pump with no gauge?

Any way to judge a good vacuum level simply from the inch marker on the side of your pump? IE does 3hgs conform to a certain amount of length?

Heres an example.

If I begin pumping tomorrow without a pressure gauge involved, and I am 6 1/2 inches erect, would I put my member in the pump and pump to 6 3/4 inches for five minutes? Does this sound safe or what exactly should I do? I guess what I am asking is how to safely gauge how large or small to pump without gauges. Because about a year ago I purchased my pump and just went to town with it and got terrible results. Had to quit PE altogether for about a month.

So how do I know what amount of pump is right for my unit with only a ruler involved?

Everybody’s growth in the cylinder is different so comparing measurements to others is useless. Without a gauge you can only go on feel. If you start to feel any discomfort at all you have gone too far. My discomfort level starts at 5Hg, which is more than enough to achieve good temporary gains. Keep it comfortable in the beginning and let your dick get accustomed to pumping before you begin to slowly increase the vacuum. If you find you enjoy pumping, $30 (Harbor Freight -$18 with coupon) is not too much to keep your dick from blistering and or ED.
