Here’s my take after air pumping for 8 months proceeding a manual only routine.
1 - Should i purchase a bathmate or a classic air pump with gauge? Since bathmate has no pressure control I wanted to buy a thickwall standard set, which I heard is a really good quality set to start with.
==> Purchasing a pump with a gauge allowing for pressure control is very important and can’t be overemphasized. That said, I would recommend air pumping.
2 - I’m mainly purchasing the pump because I heard it temporarily increases your girth for a couple of hours after the session which will take me to reach my girth goal (I don’t want length), my question is :will this make my dick bigger for few hours but my erection a little bit spongy and not a top notch 100%? I really don’t want to be bigger but lose my hardness, this is REALLY an important point both for me and my partner.
==> This really depends on how long you pump, especially during your beginning stage. As a beginner, it is very very easy to be deceived by the instant girth increase from pumping, especially after several months of following a manual only girth routine like jelqing. The post girth increase from your typical 20” jelq session and a 20” pump session even at a moderate pressure of 4” Hg are light years apart! Only caveat is that you can’t sustain a hard erection after, because your dick has not been conditioned to pumping. To enjoy a post pump sex with a strong EQ as a beginner, I’ll recommend you pump for less than 5-8” at a moderate pressure less than 4” Hg. This way your EQ will be strong and your girth will be significantly bigger.
3 - Since I’m going for girth, I heard that the best cylinder for this goal, are the Lapdidst ones, is this correct?
==> I own an LAPdist pump, and I love it so far!
4 - With how much pressure/timing should I start my session as a pump beginner? How many days should I pump to start with?
==> See answer #2. For starters I will recommend 3-4 sessions/week.
5 - What are the risks of pumping? And are there any possible injuries even if done safe and correctly? I’m talking from small injuries to permanent really bad once.
==> The biggest risk to pumping usually happens at the extreme of pressure and long duration in the tube. High pressure pumping (over 6” Hg) for me only leads to a fat lymph fluid dick that looks unnatural. Following a conservative routine of less than 5” Hg and 7-12 minutes per set is the way to go for a beginner. I have observed no long term side effects or injuries with this routine.
6 - What can i do to actually make temporary gains to be permanent gains?
==> This is all about watching for positive P.I’s. Even neutral P.I’s should be avoided when pumping. I completely agree with long time veterans of pumping like Gprent and avocet8 (P.S: both guys are the gurus of air pumping and you should read all their threads) that the sign of a good pumping regimen is the presence of strong night and morning wood. If your EQ is waning after a day of pumping, that means it’s time to back off, rest and reduce the intensity of your pumping sessions. Including jelqing with your pumping routine is widely accepted as a method of converting temporary girth gains to permanent gains. I make sure to jelq before and after my pumping session and edge in between pumping sets. I must say I’m happy with the girth and EQ gains I have achieved so far.
7 - Going inside the tube 100% hard is the way to go to reduce donut effect and EQ drop, is this correct?
==> I will say this is absolutely true! Effective pumping can never be done mindlessly. I have found pumping to be the most challenging of all P.E exercises. Not only should you enter the tube with an EQ as close to 100% as possible but you should also maintain an EQ above 90% while in the pump to (1) create tissue expansion due to elevated blood pressure in the penile chambers (2) Reduce the amount of lymph fluid that is drawn in under the skin of the penis. Stay in the tube with any EQ levels significantly lower than these and all you get is a nasty donut effect. This is why before I pump, I need to clear my head of everything else and concentrate solely on achieving a high quality erection for the duration of my pumping session. That my friend is not an easy task.
8 - Will I always get some donut effect even if I pump shortly just before sex session?
==> Following #7, you could lower or even eliminate the donut effect. Some other methods like condom pumping also help with controlling the donut effect, which typically happens around the circumcision scar area.
9 - Water pumping with a gauge is possible? Can I do it with my thickwall set? Is hot water pumping better than classic air pump?
==> Never tried water pumping with my air pump. Don’t see any need to. I pump with a heating pad on my tube and an electric space heater blowing at my groin area. Remember in any P.E routine constant heat is and will always remain your best friend!
I hope this helps. All the best pumping and happy gaining mate!!
