WATER PUMPING > Air Pumping

I’ve recently tried out water pumping with my 2 homemade pumps. I have both a 1.75" and 2.00" diameter tube.

My routine, IR heat pad for 15 minutes
Quick stretch in all directions
10 minutes at 5 HG
5 minute break
10 minutes at 5 HG

My normal routine is 10x2 at about 4 HG

What I’ve noticed:
1.) Much much less edema, basically zero
2.) More comfortable
3.) Better "stretch", I can feel it
4.) I immediately packed my 1.75" tube on initial application of vacuum, that normally only happens towards the end of a normal workout
5.) I packed my 2.00" tube fairly quickly as well; I had not done that before

I’m going to keep at this using my 2.00" tube for a few weeks and see what happens. Overall, I like the experience better, but it is a bit more work and I don’t feel comfortable walking around/working with a water filled tube.

If only more people knew about this! I see so many people on the threads (ego-driven) say that they have been pumped and are having issues, and when someone asks them if they did water, they say once and nothing else. You wonder why they think air is so superior with issues?. People on YouTube have explained that water pumping with a gauge is best. I just started PE a year ago, and some people, myself included, thought it was bathmate or nothing.

I hope you get what I got, which is a rock-hard EQ. I read from another vet here. The variations I have done are going back and forth from 1.75 to 2.00 from each session to the next and also starting with 1.75 and ending with 2.00. As another person mentioned here on the water pumping threads, it is a different feeling between tubes—not better or worse, just a different workout. I don’t have the science yet on the best combinations, but everyone is different, so you have to see what works best for you.

How have your gains been? Have you taken a decon to see if they’ve cemented?

I like the 1.75 better right now, seems like I’m getting a better "stretch". Will do the 2 occasionally for fun.

Was never a big fan of the water pump, kind of freaked me out. Air pump wasn’t much better. If I had to choose between the two I’d say air.. but I always recommended just doing horse squeezes with a cock ring (plastic). You’ll get pumped way more IMO and the gains last if you stay consistent enough. It literally just expands your penis by pumping it over and over and just demanding expansion by the excess blood flow.

I don’t understand your reference to ego driven because people prefer air over water. People are allowed preferences.

Anyway I’m an air pumper who may have another try at water pumping.

I’m considering the bathmate entirely for convenience and because I’ve been at this for a while so I think I can gauge quite well off of feel.

Just add a water trap to your current setup and you are good to go; don’t spend money on a bathmate.

I think I was clear that I am talking about air pumpers that have never truly done water pumping, claiming air is better. If someone has truly done water pumping with a cylinder and gauge for months and still prefers air, that is fine and great for your preference. There are many more reports of air pumpers (that have never truly water pump’d) downgrading water only to find many more men that have tried it against their recommendation and are so much happier. Also, since so many people only think Bathmate is the only way to water pump the topic gets confusing when comparing water to air.

I’ve been air pumping for about 3 years. Very little gain in girth, none in length. I started water pumping a couple weeks ago after reading this thread. Wish I started with this. Less edema, I pack the 1.75 quickly, pack about 60% of a 2 inch elliptical tube. I hope this will now lead to some tangible gains.

I’ve just started air pumping and I’ve been doing it for 3 weeks with high pressure. Should I lower the pressure right now or should I rest for a week and started again with low pressure

In general, if you just started, you should be at the lowest pressure for the first few months. What is high pressure for you 10 Hg? My advice, is that you don’t need to stop, just reduce Hg right now to 6-8 Hg when starting. These are my numbers with water pumping, unsure about air pumping.

As an experienced air pumper I can see a good case for me to get a Bathmate. Yes i know it doesn’t have a pressure gauge. However I’m patient and sensible after all these years.

The convenience of being in the shower and making it part of my routine is looking very interesting to me.

Water pumping deters pumping. The entire process takes longer, you need to run a bath or shower and occupy the bathroom, and it’s tougher to use electronic devices like laptops, phones, and TVs that can help pass the time. Electric air pumping works sitting or lying in bed or on chairs, and you can easily use machines with no potential to get wet. Therefore it is ideal to promote, because you will actually do it consistently, and it’s not as much of a drag. You’ll do more sets with an electric pump, due to all of the deterrents that gradually build up into a lack of will when doing water pumping. This reality just isn’t very good for water pump businesses who are basically leading people astray into something they’re probably going to stop doing due to that time sink and tougher logistical management if you live with others and have to apportion bathroom time.

Ndoctor, I understand what you are saying about the additional time, but I have a LeLuv air-pumping cylinder, with a clip-in fitting for the hose and gauge, and I can use it to water pump. I just fill my 2 1/4" x 9" cylinder with a couple inches of water (you need to experiment with how much water to put in), and without the hose attached to the cylinder the water will not leak out. I then stand with the cylinder pointed down, insert my penis into the cylinder, get a good seal using coconut oil on everything, sit down and point the cylinder up, hook up the hose, and start pumping. I can sit in my chair, or wherever, and pump without losing any of the water. The only thing is you have to keep the cylinder pointed up so no water gets into your hose, pump, and gauge. If you do need to be able to point it down you can disconnect the hose and the locking hose connection will still keep the water in without leaking out. The only thing with doing that is you won’t be able to monitor any pressure drop.
So you see Ndoctor it can be done with only a slight increase in time. When it comes time to remove your penis from the cylinder you’ll have to keep the cylinder pointed up, gradually release the pressure over a 30-45 second time frame keeping the cylinder pushed firmly against your pubic area, remove the hose, point the cylinder down, and then remove it. Water loss will be very minimal, and you will be able to water pump with an air pump without damaging it. Try it and let me know if it’s successful for you, without taking up the bath, or bathroom.

Note: You must have an air pumping cylinder with the locking hose fitting for this procedure to work.
