Water Pumping With an LA Pump?

Water Pumping With an LA Pump?

I’m interested in water pumping. I’ve got the deluxe pump with gauge from LA and wondering if I just introduce that chamber (is it a plenum?) in between the pump and the cylinder, that I can use my current LA pump for water pumping? My concern is that warm water vapor from the chamber would enter the pump and gauge itself possibly causing damage over time.

I asked this in another old thread but I didn’t get any response and very few views so I’m reinquiring. Thanks!

Probably best to check with the manufacturers JE. They know the construction of the pump and can give you accurate information. An e-mail should do it.

Psst! The link is at the bottom of the page :bigwink:

I think as long as you don’t suck water into the pump it will be fine. I pump with water based lubes that can cause a lot of condensation in the cylinder and in the vacuum line to the pump and I have never had any problems from it.
