10 years later...
Hello everyone. I joined TP in 2006 when I was in university. Now, a bit over 10 years later, I still visit the boards on occasion and still practice PE. I thought I might post to accomplish a few things:
1. Share my experiences and routines.
2. Ask for a bit of guidance.
3. Reaffirm my commitment to PE.
I started at about 5.5 EL. I was unaware of the bone-pressed method at the time and so I do not have a starting BPEL, though I would assume it was about 5.75 - 6. My starting BG was about 5, and I have always been a bit thicker at the base than elsewhere. My first routine was bought from a website and included about 5-6 different exercises, all of which I could have learned for free right here at TP. It was basically a heated warm up, stretches, Jelqs, Jelq Squeezes, backward Jelq Squeezes (a type of Horse 440?), and a warm down. I had reasonable gains with this over the course of a year, maybe .5 to .75 in length and a bit of girth.
After this I started adding exercises to my routine randomly, was inconsistent with my routine and my rest days, and generally got very lazy about it, taking time off and being unable to stick to any sort of regimen. I was also drinking and smoking heavily. Obviously I had no significant gains during this time.
After college I moved overseas and began a bit of a nomadic existence for about the next 7 years. During this time I continued my inconsistent flailing and only had one period of actual gains, which, ironically enough, was when I was hanging weights from my penis using a shoe lace. I would probably not recommend this. During my shoe string days I did gain about .75 inches, bringing me to within about a quarter inch of my current length.
Eventually I got a BiB hanger, a pump, an elastic style all day extender, and a few other items. I got my last bit of gains using the BiB in combination with manual exercises and the elastic extender. But again, I was not taking care of my body and was spending more time partying than focusing my mind and my efforts on PE.
I think the largest I have ever been was 7.75 BPEL by about 5.3 MSEG, but I lost those gains somewhere along the way and have been consistently 7.5 bpel by 5.2 MSEG for about three years. In this time I have taken to doing a very short and simple shower routine that consists of stretches, 20-40 Jelqs, and one or two sets of 5 second O-Bends. I have had no gains during this time, but have also failed to be consistent, and to take sufficient rest days. I convinced myself that my routine was light enough that I did not need rest days, which I am now starting to doubt. Most recently I have been doing this routine for maybe a year with a few weeks of down time here or there.
The rhythm of my life has been inconsistent at best. In the past ten years I have lived in 4 countries and two states. I think I am finally in a place where I am stable enough, healthy enough, and motivated enough to pursue PE diligently and push for 8 inches BPEL. I want to ask for guidance from the gentlemen here who obviously have more experience and a better understanding of PE than I do, so anything at all that you have to offer would be appreciated. It has been so long since I have seen any real gains that I am feeling a bit disheartened.
Should I take a break before I start from scratch?
Do you think that a shower provides sufficient heat to function as a warm up?
Is it OK to use a cool down with ice in lieu of a warm down?
Would you condone stretching in the shower on rest days, or just leave it be?
Any recommendations to avoid traumatized blood vessels resulting in little red spots?
I want to get back to the basics and start gaining again. I apologize for the length of my soliloquies here, but I needed to express my desire and reaffirm my commitment even if I don’t get a single response.
Cheers,
WhiskeyFish
