Typical pattern less packing more length in the tube, we’ll just have to see if there is progression. Previously we were further along in terms of packing with this protocol but have reestablished the length. Want to evaluate EQ over time with this lower pressure protocol. One thing I have noticed is that it seems to hang better with the lower pressures. Does that mean the higher pressure was too much? Triggering a protective response? Do the stretching protocols apply here? I would think so but I’m not sure. If you look at the body of work here there is this consensus that higher pressures should only be applied sparingly if at all. I think I’ve seen the upper limit of pressure over time.

Weight: 183.2 @ 19.5

Was on point with the meal plan yesterday and I did walk maybe a half mile but the wind chased me back inside. I have 5 days of food mapped out and need to be on point. Took blood pressure readings yesterday and that is looking good with the diastolic consistently in the 60s. However the blood glucose did spike immediately after the last food of the day. So I do want to look at that again. I want the meal plan to support level glucose levels so I’ll monitor it and if needed will adjust the meal plan again in 5 days Fat loss will help with that as well as we lean up.

I’m going to have to put the stretching back in as the load on the lifting is just at that point now where I need it. Need to see a print below 182 by May, 181 would be better but we need to be closer to striking distance with enough time to go.

So far so good though.

I noticed a loss of hang when I went from 5" to 7"Hg. I expect it’s the usual "retraction" response from overwork, even though I’m not seeing edema or petechiae.

I thought about backing off to 6", but I decided to try a month or so at 7" to see if the hang comes back.

Definitely more expansion than yesterday. And that is real good because when reviewing the record I actually lost ground compared to where we had maxed out with the previous efforts at 5"/hg. Reviewing the record further I made an observation on 3/19 that the robust EQ I had been experiencing was less robust and conjectured that 200mm/hgX3X5minutes might be too much. The recent 180mm/hgX4X5minutes really pushed it over the edge so there’s some top of the pressure range/volume guidelines as far as EQ. IMO The erection came up much better today after just a day at the lower pressure, though an "n" of one is insufficient. We’ll know more soon.

I restructured the meal plan dropping the calories to 2000 while increasing the protein and lowering the carbs. It’s a much cleaner meal plan with more vegetables and it is much harder to eat that much food. That said it really sets me up for a hard cut if I need to go there but just eliminated the peanut butter and jelly which I am using to get the calories up.

Ordered a new blood glucose monitor as mine is discontinued and there are no strips available except at an outrageous price. I ordered an extra 100 strips as well I really want to test and see what is happening with the blood glucose as I make changes to the meal plan and as the bodyfat comes off.

Yeah, ran into that last year. I couldn’t find strips anywhere for any of my wife’s several meters. Some had been discontinued, the others had been "out of stock" everywhere since last fall, and one still had strips available, but the price had gone up from a few bucks for 50 strips to a dollar per strip.

I wound up buying a new meter and a couple extra boxes of strips off Amazon. And then the first meter didn’t work and had to go back, but that’s life-as-usual in Andyland…

I believe this is a high point for length in the tube at this 5in/hg pressure, however there was a good bit less packing compared to yesterday. We’ve seen this pattern before hopefully this precedes further progress. For sure the hang is better with the lower pressure, seems to sidestep the tug back response.

No deadlifts yesterday I’ll hit legs tomorrow. Weather still sucks keeping me indoors bored and woefully inactive.

Interesting yesterday with Trump and China. Short squeeze unwinding leverage, I got lucky in the morning with our market operations as long duration rates hit the top of the range.. Liquidity remains a problem the Fed is behind, when you can’t measure you rely on narratives..

Way too inactive. I like to start the 3 mornings/week I can workout by heading to the gym. So thinking push pull and then hit legs sometime after that. Or Chest/back one day and shoulders/arms the next, I think a game time decision. I just want to get there early. It’s been bad luck on the weather but it finally breaks midday today so should be getting regular walks in from here.

Made a date for 3:00 today. I have not been carving out time for intimacy. Ships passing in the night. Need a little less talk and a lot more action.

Todays work:

Deadlifts
with 35’s slight deficit
115X10, 135X10, 165X10X5sets

11 flights on the Sledding hill with the 40lb vest.

Was planning on the gym, but when I was shaving my arms looked bigger and my chest looked full so thought lets stick with what we did for a bit.

And no hook up yesterday. So kind of shitting the bed in all respects.

Dinner date tonight so we’ll see.

Did get a walk in yesterday afternoon so that was good to get that going and the weather is better but the mornings are still too cold. We’ll get the after dinner walks going though.

If we have plateaued in the tube then I’ll go to maintenance for a while with the 5X3X5 protocol and look to optimize EQ.

I’m really up against it with leaning up, been treading water for months and we really are pushing up against running out of time. Eating too much given the activity level. I’ve been on point it’s just too much food. Got to trim the meal plan. I’ll work on that today, I’ll pull one thing off but try to keep the protein up.

EQ was greatly improved, so feel confident that this protocol supports good EQ. So 5X4X7in/hg IMO is too high in terms of EQ. I just went back and looked and in the rat study they discovered that 100mm/hg or 3.93in/hg had no therapeutic effects and that 200mm/hg was the sweet spot though they mentioned that 300mm/hg might have some therapeutic use. However that study fixed the time at 2 five minute sessions with a 2 minute rest. In the subsequent study looking at time and fixing the pressure at 200mm/hg or 7.87in/hg, the protocol of 3/4/3/4 minutes with a 2 minute rest produced inferior results to 2 X 5 minute sessions. IMO based on what I’ve experienced the higher pressures 7+in/hg need a time limit and for me 5 minutes X 4 sessions with a 2 minute rest in between at 180mm/hg or 7in/hg was too high.

And maybe slightly surprising to me these findings are in line with what I’ve read has been experienced here. I imagine that there is a time/pressure continuum curve that provides an optimal therapeutic effect. There’s more to explore but I’ve got some good working guidelines.

I adjusted the meal plan on Sunday dropping the calories down to 1900. I’m fasting from meat this week so the protein is down to 90 grams. One point for 2 days. I’ll reset the meal plan on Sunday to include animal sourced protein. I don’t know exactly where the protein will be but for sure I’m going to eat less going forward. I did walk 1.3 miles twice yesterday the weather was good. I think the strength training is fine just need to up the activity level and reduce the food. Hydration is good, sleep is poor.

Economics:
Last week there was a deleveraging event in the treasury market which drove yields up. We exploited that in our market operations. The reason I mention it is that the media tried to paint a picture of a "Sell America" narrative, when in fact the data showed otherwise, as there was an increase in foreign interest and it was clear from the option adjusted spread premium that it was a deleveraging event. I find the political manipulation of reality in the media disgusting.

A hair more length and less packing today. Time will tell if we’re at a plateau. We would need to either pack the tube fully or see a post of 19cm in length in the tube for us to conclude there is further progress with this protocol.

Weight: 183.2 @ 19.5%

That’s three days now on the new meal plan. No animal protein this week. I’ll rewrite the meal plan on Sunday when we add the protein sources. But I like this new structure and I think 1900 calories is plenty of a restriction. I just have to figure out the portion sizes for the protein.
