So this afternoon I tried for a second session with low tension and the glans just would not cooperate, it was overworked from the morning session so I shut it down. I’ll take tomorrow off as I have a date night and get back on it on Sunday.

It’s taken me a while but I am becoming more in tune with things and can make better assessments about when I can push it and get away with it and when I need to back off. A lot of it is just learning to trust the feedback you’re getting.

When I first arrived here I did fully not understand the significance of the detailed logs and to be fair to myself I don’t see how I could have. But I see it now.

I was at 68% and it looked like a good bit more tension could be handled, but when I got to 100% on the left side, the position of the glans in the cradle looked like I had overshot on the tension. At that point though I had committed so I just figured I’d take whatever duration came, yet somehow got the full 60 minutes with relative ease and the position of the glans at the end of the session wasn’t horrible.

I do think that robust intimacy/days off seems to benefit the process, so while edging and the like is not my thing, I do suspect that it would be beneficial. I say this because there is occasion in which intimacy is unplanned sometimes even on days when there were 3 sessions of extending and the intimacy seems to benefit the condition of the glans so that sessions on subsequent days are improved.

I think that I would benefit from more intimacy and it’s something for sure that I could do, but quite frankly my life is just too busy for it right now.

I realized recently that I am really happy with where I am at right now in this process and anything beyond this is just a bonus. So I seem to have settled into a very relaxed attitude towards this. It’s become something that is, just something that is good for me and part of the portfolio of the things that I do to take care of myself.

I’m not sure if intimacy has benefited my PE or worked against it. For me personally it doesn’t matter. Intimacy takes priority over PE and just about everything else in my life. There are two other very special things in my life that I will put before intimacy, but for the most part, it gets priority.

I have to say I’m disappointed in myself in that I’m not exhibiting much patience recently in getting to max tension. It’s this tug of war, between knowing the tissues aren’t quite ready yet and still finding myself going over. It’s not a complete waste but I know it’s not as efficient as it could be. I know I’m only 10-15% away so thus the temptation, but I got to do better.
