Just some additional notes here. And I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but there are things that are discovered in the process that will be useful for later. My long term goal remains to add 3/4” to the extender and consolidate, after which my plan remains to cement for 240 days.

Towards that part, this time constrained forced pullback in effort has given me some insights regarding that. My feeling based on the effects of the pullback is to not let off the pedal for those 240 days. That is to say, when it is well consolidated so that the max length with the screws fully backed out have accommodated sufficient to add additional length to the extender, the plan will be to keep it right there and also to keep the weekly time goal in the 10-14 hour range.

I will think about a maintenance schedule only after the 240 day period of consolidation.

So I decided to go for a second session and it was going GREAT!!! I could feel the relaxation of the tissues which I have become familiar with and then of course shortly there after I was interrupted.

I really need to take one of the spare bedrooms and create a sanctuary for myself so that I may progress unimpeded. I’ll look into it soon.

Only had 45 minutes so decided to increase the tension just a bit. Worked out well. Despite my frustration at the lack of time to devote to this, I do think that keeping a level head and paying attention, does provide for a useful use of the available time to keep things close so that you’re ready to progress when the time permits.

I should probably post some comments on today’s session. I think it is rational to conclude that if I were following a more robustly precise schedule of say 9-12 hour long sessions a week over 6 days with a day off, that we would find ourselves already at full tension for duration and be on our way towards achieving the sought accommodation for this cycle. And by cycle I mean the newly established extender length.

I am willing to concede that as a given. But what I want to highlight instead is what has been experienced here recently when such circumstances have not been forthcoming. And I think it bears repeating that when there are limited opportunities and the overzealous effort carries the greater weight, things do not go so well.

But then when the humiliation of said failure demands temperance and we are able to exert said discipline, we are able to once again incrementally creep forward. Maybe it is ever so slightly, but be that as it may, even in the case where there is limited opportunity, once again the path forward is revealed.

If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a dozen times. Favor the session duration, slowly bring the tension up.

Seems I keep needing reminding.

Nice insight buckfever on being over zealous. I have tried pushing the time in the extender with out resting. Numerous times thinking I’ll speed up the gains. To only end up missing whole days because I pushed my self to hard.

Certainly this indicates progress to sustain max tension for 60 minutes, however the position of the glans in the cradle is further back so there’s a lot of work left to do here.

2 days in a row. Regaining some control over my schedule, see if I can get it back to ~ 9 sessions a week.

I think part of why I am diligent with this is that I recognize that I do not have the stellar resilience of some here. Having seen what is reasonably possible I can affix to and idea and execute on it, but I am not unbounded. I think understanding this actually keeps me disciplined. I can unequivocally hold on to a goal to completion, within the realm of what is reasonable. Obviously that’s subject to interpretation and I tend towards the analytical so I guess if I were to try to put a measure to it I would say I’m good to about 2 standard deviations, I think that’s where my resilience runs out.

And I think as much as anything it’s that the marginal contribution beyond that point does not strike me as worth it. It’s just not worth the time to me. That said it’s no small measure to get there, but by losing the upper bound I am able to actually be more resilient.
