What is your age? 1988 would mean 30 ish, so this shouldn’t be a normal issue. If you have a bit of patience and good technique you should be able to get 1/4 inch of stretch in 3 or four month’s. I’m 65 and started PE in 2015, and have stretched about 3/4 of an inch, so far. You mileage may vary and be quicker than that. But ligament, joint and muscle stiffening or hardening can be stalled or reduced through exercise and activity, and not by hurting yourself in the process. Injury takes longer to rectify the older we get, and Arthur Itis has a lot to do with taking away our ability to stay injury free.

I just hear people talking about deconditioning. I noticed that after going hard for 3 months I managed to gain half an inch but not the PI’s no longer appear (like morning wood etc). I guess my real concern is that they will harden and I will not be able to create micro tears and get gains like I did the first time around. I’m wondering if this “toughening” of the ligs will eventually go away

If they toughen and your gains stall, then you take time off and it gets soft again. And if your Pi’s are bad then you’re going too hard. Back off.

How much time do you take off?

I took a month off and when I started again the PI’s never returned

Any recommendations on effectively stretching the tunica bro? I have been using an extender and have noticed no PI’s. I also bought a BIB starter which I have been experimenting with and am slowly trying to customize the weight and time to get the perfect set up. Trying not to hurt myself hehe
