My First Three Months - Injury And Lessons
So I have been lurking here for just over 3 months, honestly because I had nothing constructive to contribute at first. Now I feel I have enough to share and also to ask.
Straight up on the TL: DR- Happy enough with my size, wanted to max my EQ (lacking) and get good function/health. Had a very minor injury of my own fault and also fell foul of a random infection. Looking to get back on the path in 2019.
I’m NBP 7.1” x 4.5(ish) so happy with size and is more than enough for my wife’s size too. However, EQ wasn’t as good as it could be and I wanted to be better and healthier. I knew I didn’t want to do anything with risk, as I don’t have drive to be bigger. So I started with following the Angion Method as it seemed low risk. Initially I had good improvement but I started to lapse in technique and not support myself properly so it gave me a little discomfort at the base which passed.
I then moved on to experimenting with a VERY light stretch and light jelqs. I know now I didn’t warm up properly and it was uncomfortable so I stopped through fear of injury. I did note that it gave me a little aching pain at the base and also fat pad area.
Over the next month I worked on edging instead but when I would kegal during it would occasionally kill my erection and then the aches would come back and last a few days (same base/connecting point location).
Then followed a slip during intercourse that put a lot of down force on my base and then the ache flared up into a sharper pain.
I took a rest and the Doctor said I might be at hernia risk (seems a standard answer). A week later when better I restarted edging/kegal work but it led to two further pain flare ups. At this time I noticed sex didn’t give me pain flare up, only manual handling (which I guess is tougher on the body, especially pushing down direction).
Returning to doctor and giving a sample I had an internal infection which I took antibiotics for.
I am however sure that I have stretched/strained my ligaments when I pulled down and also have the down force ‘slip up’. I am now planning to have no handling or sex for at least 2 weeks to allow healing and then start up with only sex again until I think it’s healed (less pressure).
I am not getting any erections during the ache flare ups, likely due to the discomfort/fear. Once this passes, function is back to normal and helps me know things are on the mend.
I guess I’m looking for reassurance that this is probably a lighter ligament strain (I have read a LOT of posts here on the same injury) based on location and relief coming from taking the weight off. Also that exercises such as edging and Angion etc can really bring back a more youthful EQ in the longer term.
Overall I am so impressed with the friendly, constructive nature of this community, considering this is the Internet after all!
Lessons learned on correct practice for sure!
