Yeah, it’s difficult when you don’t see any progress. My gains didn’t occur until I’d started and stopped PE several times (and BeardedDragon has some interesting thoughts on how even the times when it seems nothing measurable is happening, microscopic changes are occurring nonetheless that eventually become measurable).
I’ve wondered too if the starts/stops many of us newbies do are in effect decon breaks although of course I just felt like a failure at the time - but I wonder if I was getting the benefit of deconditioning (because heck, I may’ve been overdoing it) when I would quit in disgust only to start over a month or two later.
Anyway, with you being a young guy & sounding pretty determined, I’d have to guess some gains are coming your way. I’d stay doggedly consistent while doing PE, absolutely believe that it’s going to work and wouldn’t give up on it BUT it may not hurt to take a week or two off at the end of July to give your mind/body a break if nothing has happened for you just yet.
