EQ definitely improved. My glans started to swell back hard like it did before when I was younger. It never happened for years. I felt sharper during the day, and I can do more things, not having to think of smoking always.

Starting to smoke was one of the worst decisions I have made in my life and I wish I could turn back time and to stop my younger self from doing it.

Remember, the damage that smoking does is not completely reversible. It will do permanent damage to your lungs years after you stop.

Kosmic, mind telling how old are you, how much cigs you used to smoke and for how long you have being smoking?

Hey, guys. Some of my blood exams are ready. I just found out that I am one of the lucky ones that have Lipoprotein(a) really high. It is a high risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Despite my cholesterol being in a good rate, having the Lp(a) that high is really risky. The shit thing is: I simply can’t lower those rates. There is no medicine, no change on my habits, nothing. It is just a congenital thing. Well, no smoking for me, because smoking would be ONE MORE high risk factor. Today is day one without smoking. I have to - as Zee says - beat this addiction up.

Man, I’m sorry to hear about the lipoprotein(a) thing, my studies taught me that it can be a problematic thing regarding heart disease and stroke etc, and currently untreatable due to it being a genetic thing. But I do recall though that it may not actually have any influence if you can keep your LDL in check. And i vaguely recall something about low doses of aspirin for the reduction of chances of stroke and maybe something about statins too, I’m pulling what i can out and it may not be 100% accurate, i am honestly out of my comfort zone and saying what I remember regarding, this as its not my area, but it might be worth looking into if you havent already.
Basically the take-home message was that it may have pretty much no impact if you can keep the LDL in check. Also, yeah definitely quit smoking, it’ll do more than reduce another terrible rick factor, it’ll put notes in your wallet and blood in your unit!

P.S I actually said to “beat” the addiction, not “beat up”. But I think I like that more, I’m happy to share credit ;)

Thanks, man! When the results are ready, I’ll come here to tell you guys.

And may that be a warning for all of us smokers.

I really hope I don’t have any degree of atherosclerosis =(

I am 31 years old. Started smoking lightly at 14 (two sticks on a weekend). Started smoking heavily when I was 17 up to 25 (more or less a pack a day). Started slowing down from 25 (5 to 10 sticks, with intervals of no smoking). Stopped completely only recently.

Congrats for stopping the smoking habit!

Is the tiny glans because of heavy smoking?

I’ve smoked really hard the past one week and I’ve been seeing a tiny miny glans.

Great news, guys! I don’t have atherosclerosis! My coronary is all flexible and fine!

But anyway, knowing that my Lp(a) is high, I have to take double care.

To beat the addiction is my prime objective.

I put to my self a deadline: 09/16.

Cheers!

Not gonna lie, but I’m also another smoker. Don’t know how much it effects EQ, seeing as I’m still rather young (24). I’ve smoked anywhere between one pack too, at my WORST, four packs a day, off and on since 18. For me it’s weird, kicking smoking, might not be something I’m able to do. It’s not a simple matter of needing the chemical though, it’s something to focus me and calm me down, so I don’t go apeshit, whenever I’m stressing…..it’s almost like a form of meditation for me.

I’m trying to quit. I went 3 weeks without a cigarette and my eq increased alot. I do basic jelqs, 125 every other day but they are close to 5 second jelqs and I also make sure to stretch while jelqing. I actually think my unit grew a little bit but it’s hard to tell because the cigs brought back some dead eq

Any update of the eq since you quit?

Hey guys,
I was off cigarettes for about a week or 10 days, and about the 6 or 7th day i started to see improvement in morning erections. They were present when I woke up that’s one. And two, they persisted longer and I was so happy about it.

Any one else feel that when you were off cigarettes?

What I guess is that the smoking keeps the oxygen level low in the blood and oxygennis a critical critical factor for a good erection. And when you quit, some of the RBC that were taken down by carbon monoxide get replaced by fresh ones and you get a better eq.
