Taking a break from PE
I have decided to take four weeks off PE because of this vein. I did some research and found the problem convincingly, to be a thrombosis of the superficial dorsal vein. I identified the vein off of Wikipedia and found an article that sealed the deal off of PE Gym. I started PE in September and since then have gained a quarter of an inch in length and girth. Hopefully those gains will come back quickly or stay. This article describes it perfectly so I guess the good news is nothing serious and while I take a month off I can hit the gym even harder and focus more on that. I am a little torn because I have made good gains using the pump and jelqing but I hate to keep banging my head on the wall if pumping is going to continue this. If anybody has any experience with this good or bad I would appreciate any advice. I would like to think that once it heals I could continue pumping and everything would be great but don’t know. I recently messed around with hanging and it was cool but the time it takes out of your day is too much for me. I hear lot of good things about clamping and have tried it once or twice to my satisfaction. I hear that is pretty dangerous as well though.

In our center between 1992 and 1994 penile Mondor’s disease (superficial dorsal penile vein thrombosis) was diagnosed in 5 patients aged 20-39 years. In all patients the thromboses were noted 24-48 hours after a prolonged sexual act with or without an intercourse. The main symptom was a cord-like thickening of the superficial veins, which were painless or slightly painful. Doppler examination of the superficial dorsal vein revealed obstruction of the vessels. In 2 patients the retro-glandular plexus was also involved. Patients were treated with anti-inflammatory medications (Tenoxicam or Ibuprofen). The resolution of the thrombosis occurred uneventfully within 4-6 weeks. No recurrence or erectile dysfunction was noted in any of the patients. Penile Mondor’s disease is a benign pathology of the superficial dorsal penile vein and should be taken into account in the differential diagnosis of penile pathologies.
