Chemical Burn - Skin

Afternoon all

Firstly to the mods and owners I do apologise for not posting in the injury section, my post count is too low but I have been reading the forums for months. If this can be re located I would appreciate it.

I need your help all to please guide and get around me to fix this problem.

When I was very young (16) I was shaving and got some ingrown hairs, at the time I didn’t know how to get rid of them. So I went to the bathroom and saw tea tree oil pure and read it helped pimples and sores, so on if went and from memory quite an amount. Then came the burning , I thought it burns because it’s helping rid of these pimples. I couldn’t bare the pain after 5min or so so jumped in the shower. What was left was the underside and balls red, sore stingy. I was embarrassed to bring it up and thought it would be OK. Well 11 years have passed, I went to the doctor and he said it will heal on its own, it didn’t. Went to dermatologist who gave me creams and it didn’t work. Then now recommending led laser treatment and firm rx laser. I’ve spent heaps of money trying to fix this issue. Appearance wise it’s reddish and the skin is dry and clearly burnt and the skin is loose and my ball sack is loose and thin.. You can see the different skin compared to the areas that were not exposed to the tea tree oil. I have a brownish penis natural and it’s clearly still not healed back. Did the red LED treatment and no improvement.

So I’ve seen two dermatologists. One ran his place like a brothel in and out cash cow and prescribed celestone steroid cream. No good. Then I saw another who prescribed novasone steroid cream and LED. Each steroid cream later revealing through my googling that they can do significant damage to the penis skin which I think it has made the issue worse = red, dry, Cigarette paper type skin.

I come here because I really need some help and advice. I reflect and know had this not have happened I would be so much happier in life.

Can this be fixed? How? Where to?

Can it be healed? Apparently not. Some people who suffer burns from various reason still live with the scar the burn produced. Maybe this is just something you have to live with.

I’d be looking into grafts. A skin graft sounds more feasible now given what you’ve been through. Though it may not be.

Damn can damaged skin like this cause ED?

ANYTHING can cause ED. Because anything that causes anxiety or unhappiness can do the things that screw with our heads to cause dysfunction. The question becomes how much can you push past it to overcome it.

pregnant women use a scar reduction cream to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks. I’m not sure what it’s called but Walmart used to sell it. Ask your pharmacist and you will likely be given several options. In my opinion, this will be your best bet.

Physically, no, but as Thoughtfulgold pointed out, if it causes you psychological stress then you might observe some ED symptoms.

Can you guys spread the word to our friends here. Tea tree oil burns penis skin. Trust me I’ve lived in hell everyday for 11 years.

If anyone can help me please get in touch. I’ve tried the stretch mark creams, steroid creams and all.

You must come to grips with the fact that you are scarred.It doesn’t stop you for doing anything does it? If you’re lucky maybe that will be the only scar you get during life. Now go out, forget about it, and enjoy life.
