Help I kind of subtly broke my dick and don't know what to do.

Hello All,

Sorry, I can’t post this in the injuries forum, but am here because you guys know more about dicks than I do. I have some suspected tunica damage and could use your help. My injury is not terribly consistent with most accounts of penile fracture, so I’ll drop the details below. Thanks for your time and patience.

I went on an amphetamine-fueled masturbation marathon about five weeks ago because I’m an idiot. Honestly, I do have ADD and was taking my medication as directed. Still, I jerked off like 20+ times in 3 days. In hindsight, studying would have been time better spent. By the third day there was a vaguely sore and slightly palpable ‘spot’ developing on the bottom side of my dick, mid-shaft. This new sensation was only slightly painful, but I still jerked off with a little more loving-care a few more times. One or two days later I had an extended video masturbation session with a new girlfriend. I suffer from delayed orgasm on a good day, but the prior extreme overuse and ensuing nondescript injury, plus the stimulants made it extra hard to cum on this day. I should have given up well before an hour elapsed, but I mangled my dick for a solid three hours on this occasion because of the stimulants and a hot, nasty new girlfriend. Mostly my dick was not fully erect, which is not normal, but it didn’t hurt, so I manhandled away, getting rather more rough than usual after an hour or so in an effort to finish off. Next day my dick is swollen (not hugely so) and tender (not bruised), I am worried, ice the shit out of it, try to analyze extent of the damage, and continue to rest it for a few days. Swelling mostly subsides after one day, but dick is definitely not right—somewhat lifeless and reluctant to get hard, a bit swollen, has a strange semi-circumferential ridge/stripe just below my glans on the right CC. Feels traumatized and I know it is injured, but I have sex with it a few days later. When fully erect there was no noticeable abnormality, just some tenderness. On the second day, the tenderness is such that I stop halfway through. No crazy pain, but uncomfortable and not-right feeling. This was about a month ago and my dick still isn’t ‘right,’ so to speak. Here is my timeline for the last month: I rested for a few days, jerked off once. I rested a week, jerked off once. Rested two weeks, jerked off once. Shit still isn’t right, so my current plan is three weeks (minimum) rest with a trip to the urologist in there somewhere.

Initially, during the first week of rest after my injury, I noticed some persistent vein tightness or something at the base of my dick, odd tingling sensations in my unit and scrotum, and aching from deep within my member confirming that something is definitely not right, but I jerk off somewhere in there anyway. I jerk off as carefully as possible, but dick hurts a bit afterward. Possibly a very faint and short-lived dime-sized hematoma/blood pool thing develops on top-side of my shaft opposite my injury immediately after orgasm, but subsides rather quickly. Dick is reluctant to become fully erect while masturbating, but I manage a rock-hard engorgement just prior to ejaculation (which is likely what my dick was trying to avoid in an effort of self-preservation). The shape is mostly fine at this point (full-engorgement during ejaculation, which seems to have declined somewhat at the 2 subsequent orgasms), but dick is tighter than usual. My dick is straight, but I do notice it is angled to the right from the base and feels constricted. Urethra also feels somewhat constricted. I resolve to rest again, and continue to ice through my underwear, but give it a little frost nip and scare the shit out of myself. After icing, it is cold and lifeless and tiny. I’m afraid it is going to fall off. No more icing.

I don’t jerk off for two weeks. I have partial erections in the morning, but dick is reluctant to get fully erect. My right CC is where the problem is situated. There is a palpable kind of separation in the fibers along the vaguely noticeable aforementioned semi-circumferential ridge. Upon palpitation the ridge is actually like a sort of tributary in the fiber of my dick below the skin. I feel like this separation can be felt on both poles of the CC—so, it runs like at least 90 of the 360 around my unit on the right side. Urethra evacuates fine. On two occasions recently I’ve awoken with fairly erect and non-misshapen morning wood, but day-time erections (which are never fully erect except during the times I’ve ejaculated) are reluctant and misshapen—down and to the right, confirming I suppose an injury somewhere around the apex. I’ve read about indents, and I suppose there is a rather subtle indent around the injury.

Is this going to heal? I’ve read just about every academic paper and forum thread I can find on penile fracture / tunica damage. Everything I read seems to confirm that the urologist won’t be much help at this point, though having some kind of treatment plan might be a good thing so I don’t go doing something stupid again. I got some Man1 Oil and I’ve been applying it several times daily. My injury seems rather rare, but it seems like if I have a tunica tear and if I’m lucky it’ll heal itself in another month or so. And if I develop some fibrosis that contributes to misshapen erections, it seems even that can fix itself over time. I’m rather worried about this at the moment, though.

I plan to see a urologist within the next two weeks, but could go sooner if you tell me to. I’m a worrier and currently on my mind is a tear that won’t heal on its own or that heals with some awful PD as a result. I don’t want a crooked dick, but surgery isn’t so appealing either given that orgasms are hard enough to achieve as it is (yes, I realize this conflicts rather glaringly with my previous report of 20+ orgasms in 3 days, but I suppose I can open a new thread for that) and any resulting loss of sensitivity will be sorely missed. On the other hand, I have read at least one account of scar tissue contributing to increased sensitivity, which would be cool.

Sorry to go on and on. Thanks for reading. Oh, I don’t really PE. I have done the beginner’s routine a handful of times a year or so ago, but that’s about it. I’m 31 years old. I’m skinny, but athletic. I have bad anxiety. Anything else you’d like to know? Seriously, thanks guys.

After all of that abuse, it is hard to tell what you might have damaged. Seems to me you should have seen the Doc much sooner, so at this time, you should still go the sooner the better. Your body can heal a lot of damage and the extent of yours might just take a long time, but have the Doc give you his “hands on” opinion.

Oh yeah, and the word subtle would not be my choice after that marathon dick-a-thon that you described.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Thanks for the input gprent. Get my broken dick to the doctor, the sooner the better advice acknowledged. If I knew what I know now, I likely would have made it to the doctor within a much more reasonable window. The reasons I didn’t make it on subsequent days are too numerous (and likely annoying to read) to list.

Poor word choice also acknowledged. Thread title-wise, I was just gonna say I broke my dick and ask for help, but while “Help, I broke my dick” covers my concern it seemed kind of misleading given that dick breaking events are generally, it seems, blow-out emergency situations with lots of pain, swelling, bruising, maybe some bleeding. My injury seems somehow more subtle than that, though I certainly agree with you that the events leading up to and immediately following it are far from subtle, are almost certainly more idiotic than the large majority of the those other, rather more pitiable, “Yup, I broke my dick and need to get the the hospital NOW” moments some guys find themselves in.

Sort of curious to hear how things are now, if you happen to check back at some point

Hi inspirit! I am here to check back in about my issue which as not gone away, sadly. The longest period of rest I gave my dick was 6 weeks with no sexual touching.

Injury currently manifests as semi-circumferential non-uniform (not straight, think like if you were to tear a piece of paper in half) separation of the fibers 1/4 of the way down the penile shaft starting from the head (the tear doesn’t start at the head, just your mental image). Fiber separation is palpable. This arc is now nearly 180 degrees, terminating below the urethra on bottom and around the dorsal vein on top. Depending on the degree of separation between the edges of the tear (this is somewhat variable depending on underlying pressure), underlying tissue can bulge out in a vein-like consistency (the best I can describe it) hindering urethral flow due (seemingly), especially during ejaculation, but also sometimes during urination. The tear is usually mostly closed, but can open up a handful of millimeters or so. Tumescence is possible, but hindered. Erections are fairly erect, but seem to fail quickly in the absence of constant stimulation. Rolling sign is present (in my experience, my veins seem to move with my skin, but my injury does not), while gross physical deformity is not.

I have have had sex a handful of times maybe 6 months back and it worked. My dick is not all that sensitive anymore (not a new issue) and the pleasure curve to ejaculation is sadly non-linear, meaning that in order to cum it takes a hell of a lot of effort to make the jump from ‘feels good’ to ‘able to orgasm’ (I blame a long history of psychiatric medications at least slightly moreso than a long history of mental illness and neurotic behavior for this sad state of affairs). Satisfaction levels are pretty sub-optimal, but not my number one concern at the moment.

No professional diagnosis yet, unfortunately. I have a set of personal reasons for why this is the case and they make sense to me right now, though I have plans to visit a good urologist within the year when I can work through a few other things. I quit researching compulsively after I seemed to exhaust every source related to my injury on the internet and in the academic literature. Did I satisfy your curiosity?

I had a similar situation and it helped me quit meth. Mine healed up in a month or so after I quit meth and all sexual activity.

The constant state of tension that meth puts your body in doesn’t help.

Need to life healthy and bring down any inflammation.

Then research DMSO (be carefull) in combination with peyronies disease. You basicly created scar tissue in your dick I guess and need to promote good tissue healing and good collagen instead of scar tissue formin.

Vitamin C for collagen and Vit E and Iodine for inflammation. You can combine them with DMSO to apply transdermaly. check this forum: Alternative Treatments of Peyronie’s Disease - PDS - Peyronies Society Forums and search for dmso.

MadVillian, I have never done meth. The drug in question was doctor-prescribed vyvanse (basically, dextroamphetamine) at prescribed levels, which I no longer take. I do not mean to imply vyvanse is any less deleterious on the body necessarily, just clarifying. Also, this injury occurred 11 months ago, during which time I have completely rested my member for varying periods of time up to 6 weeks with no obvious improvement of my condition.

Dickerschwanz, thanks for the input. I cannot deny the possibility I have created scar tissue and inflammation, but my injury looks, feels and acts (to me) like torn tissue of some sort that can’t heal itself for some reason (possibly because my body is unhappy with me, I guess). The variable urethral stricture-like behavior also weakly supports this hypothesis in my mind. Maybe I have peyronie’s, I don’t know, but have you ever heard somebody say that it feels like a tear in their dick that underlying tissue can bulge out of and hinder urination and ejaculation? There also seems to be some kind of structural instability during erections and torn fascia would seem to support this, maybe. If memory serves, my experience didn’t seem to align so well with other posted peyronie’s experiences I came across, namely with regard to having a palpable defect on my penile shaft, but I can’t be sure. Initially after the injury there was definitely an evolving healing process, but that process has mostly abated. My dick feels weak and sensitive (not in a sexual sense) and slightly painful when I masturbate, but these feelings don’t get worse after and I am not sure how much of them are in my head. During the healing process there was definitely a time when the effects of masturbation would stick around for a day or two, but not anymore.

My objective has not been to figure out exactly what happened to me in the medical sense so much as to find an example of something similar to figure out if it is treatable. My best guess at the moment is the underlying fascia is torn and, for some reason, isn’t fusing back together. Someone on the net theorized that because such tissues are under constant load (I don’t know whether this is true or not, but it was what I read), coupled with the fact they don’t have their own blood supply, might contribute to their poor healing properties. I don’t know. Anyway, the magical healing cocktail you suggest sounds promising, was something I had previously considered, and is still on the table for treatments I will try myself if the urologist I eventually see is not helpful.

There might be something to living healthy and working to combat bodily inflammation. I haven’t been in the best shape either mentally or physically for the past 18 months or so.

Oh, MadVillian, I just want wanted to say that I’m glad your injury had a silver lining (getting off meth) and even resolved itself! Sounds like an extra good outcome, :) .

Thanks for the detailed reply. After hearing more about the semi-circumferential ridge and it being called a tear, I can say it sounds at least somewhat similar to what I would describe as a gash that I’ve had on my dick, directly beneath the skin, which appeared shortly after my injury started almost two and a half years ago. From your description though, it sounds like we may have damage to different layers of tissue, with yours being deeper. In my case it’s very visible. It looks a lot like a tear in a piece of cloth, darker and indented, with the skin itself perfectly intact. When stretched during an erection, it’s depth decreases and surface area increases. The main symptom is a loss of sexual sensation, which I didn’t have at all before this.

There has been both sudden improvements and instances of it getting worse (both permanent), along with certain things that increase the chances of an improvement or damage. Imagine trying to fill in a hole with dirt, but the hole sometimes getting wider. When an improvement happens, I experience a sudden, digging/crawling/prickling itching sensation on the gash itself, and anywhere from almost immediately to around one day afterwards, there will be what could be described as a small bubble of tissue, or an increase in the size of an existing small bubble of tissue, exactly where the crawling/digging itch took place. These improvements are correlated with an increase in sexual sensation.

The position my body is in when ejaculating effects both the chances of improvements and where on the gash the improvement might happen, for instance, ejaculating while standing versus kneeling (kneeling tends to be the best). Ejaculating like once every 10-12 hours for 2 or 3 days or so can raise the chances. Vitamin e can raise the chances. Onion powder, garlic powder and cayenne pepper powder seem to increase the chances too but I need to experiment with them a little more to be sure. Molasses can, which must be from the high vitamin or mineral content, but I’ve noticed that even if two things have the same or very similar basic nutrients, one might make a difference and the other might not, so in the end I try to just focus on results, and not analyze why things work or don’t work. Usually, a combination of a least a few helpful things is needed, like molasses, a small amount of onion powder, vitamin e and ejaculating while kneeling. Also, all of these things seem to work much better, or only work, if I haven’t done them for awhile. For instance, if I take 800ui of vitamin e, a small amount of onion powder, a teaspoon or two of molasses, and ejaculate while kneeling once roughly every 10-12 hours for three days or so, the chances of having a crawling/digging itch improvement on the gash during one of those days is substantial, probably at least 80 percent. If I continue to do that, with a few days of rest here and there, for an extended period of time, the chance of having an improvement any given day becomes minuscule- possible around 5 percent. It also seems that, if I’ve done something for an extended period of time, the chances of having an improvement in the few days after suddenly stopping are significantly higher, but I would need to test this out of a few more times to confirm it. This is all nothing but simple, clear trial and error. I had my first improvement accidentally after nothing for 6 months, and since then I’ve just tried different things with the goal being to get consistent, predictable improvements.

Once I read your description of the tear in more detail, I wanted to make sure I gave you this info since it sounded at least somewhat similar. What does the tear actually look like? Does it look like a very clear chasm, or is it more like an indent that you need to touch to notice?

Thats exactly the case with peyronies. Inflammation in combination with an injury in a spot that heals badly.(lets say compared to a torn ligament in the legs).
An xray/doppler sound or whatever they do will give you more clarity.
DMSO you have to be carefull but it has the ability to get to the spot if applied often enough. Other supplements and medicaments might help too but might not reach that point.

Im sure you have to go to the doc and get a bit more positive outlook overall or else things wont improve or will get worse..
My personal advice for you to is to get more into the body and out of your head even if it is only getting more aware of your arms or legs for a start.

There will be a possibillity to solve this.
