I get it. You’ve been injured and you want to share your situation with others so they can prevent the same happening to them. And you’re angered that your information is not being received and actioned with the level of serious attention you feel it deserves.
Any rational person hears your story and instantly feels sorrow for you, wishes you a quick recovery and also empathises with you by imagining themselves in your position and understands how tragic this type injury would be to their life.
And a rational person analyzes the injury specifics and incorporates it into their larger knowledge base which includes information from many others on their PE routines and results, both positive and negative, then make their own decision to continue unchanged, or modify their routine or to stop altogether.
Your information has been read, absorbed and incorporated into their go forward actions. They, as always, are responsible for their actions and the results of those actions.
I personally have been involved in PE for about 3 years, primarily pumping, and occasionally with an extender where I have over 500 hrs use in and X4. I’ve dabbled with hanging, regularly hand stretch, and have recently included clamping twice weekly. I havent had any major issues. I have overtrained and mydick turtled up and didnt want to participated further. I stopped my activities for a couple days and then returned, but at a lesser level.
I look at your injury from hanging at 2.5lbs and I think that a bad hand job generates more than that, or a bad bj, too. I’m not trying to minimize your situation or anger you further (yet I know this will) I think your injury is a fluke and the likelyhood of this happening to me is extremely minor. My decision, my responsiblity for the outcome, good or bad.
This conversation/debate does remind me a story from the first days of electric power when the world was trying to decide whether AC or DC power would be best.
Edward Tesla promoted AC power. Thomas Edison promoted DC as the safest and best source of electric energy. He was incensed that anyone would even consider using AC power as it was, in his view, extremely dangerous. He was so angry he set up a meeting with reporters and decision makers where he was going to prove the danger. He did so be bringing out an elephant which he then electrocuted with AC. Instead of supporting his position, the press and dignitaries where so angry with Edison that he lost any credibility in the discussion.
And so today the world is powered with AC current. I will not post further on this topic as at this point we are just talking past one another, and I am sorry for that.
Again, best wishes for a speedy and successful recovery. Please do post updates from time to time, negative or hopefully, positive, so we know how a fellow PEer (or former PEer) is doing, and can incorporate that information into our decision processes.
