I may have a thrombosed vein, can I still do my girth routine?

I may have a thrombosed vein, can I still do my girth routine?

Hey guys,

Yesterday I was taking a shower when I got a solid hard on, LOL! As I was massaging my dick, I suddenly noticed something hard and firm, 1 inch from the cockhead on the downside of the shaft. I was very surprised by this but I suspect it may be a thrombosed vein. I massaged the area a little but it did not go away even though it got smaller. It`s still there though it`s not huge by any means. I had a thrombosed vein last summer but it was one of the bigger veins and I was doing intensive erect jelqs. This vein is much smaller.

The funny thing is that I haven`t been doing any heavy girth work lately. Just pumping at 4-6 hg and jelqing at 70-80% erect levels. I have even been on a holiday routine which is a minimized routine every other day with low intensity.

What do you think guys, is it ok to keep it up or should I take some time off? I really don`t wanna loose my girth gains but it sucks to take any risks as well.

What convinces you that the vein is thrombosed?

I`m not convinced that it is, it just seemed that it most likely is the case? Do you have any other suggestions avocet8?

Last summer one of the main veins on my shaft got thrombosed and I could not do any PE even if I wanted. This time, the actual vein(if it is) is so small that I can still PE, I don`t want to risk anything though.

A thrombosed vein is solid, red and hot. It doesn’t reduce with massage and it hurts most of the time. If this isn’t what you have, then it isn’t thrombosed. If it is, then do not exercise because you’ll just prolong the healing. There is no specific treatment for a thrombosed penile vein, you just have to treat the symptoms (the pain and redness) with ibuprofen and give it time to heal.

If it got smaller when you massaged it, it probably isn’t thrombosed.

Hey guys, thanks for you replies!

I`m just curious, if not a thrombosed vein, what else could it be? I`m not to fond of hard knots on my dick you know:-)

Btw, it didn`t get MUCH smaller by massaging it, it just seemed to get a little smaller even though it`s still there. No pain experienced either.

Hope to find out what this is and cure it!

Bigger veins come with PE. I’ve got a huge one on the left side of the base of mine that wasn’t there before. Well, it was probably there, it just got much bigger. If it isn’t thrombosed, then don’t worry about it.

Hey westla90069,

I know, pretty much all my veins is bigger and my cock is more vascular than ever. However, a hard and concentrated spot/bump on my penis is something else than just a bigger vein. Thrombosed or not, it`s not natural and I don`t like it. I will read through this forum later tonight when I got time to see if there is someone else who`ve experienced something similar.

Thanks!

Hey guys,

Please give me some other opinions! Both of you guys seemed to suspect it is not a thrombosed vein, WHY? After all the reading I`ve done on this site I think it seems to fit the description perfect. What else could it be then?

I haven`t done any PE since I noticed it a week ago and I will not do any PE before I find out anymore about what it is.

All help and advice is sincerely appreciated!

Thanks,

Renholder

Hey Ren,

Westla & Avocet know a lot more about the relevant anatomy than I do, so they’re in a better position than I am to detect whether it’s really a thrombosed vein, but I can tell you that even if it is a thrombosis, it can’t really cause any problems beyond pain or inflammation. I asked a urologist about some hard “guitar string” type veins I had developed, and he said that they may or may not be thrombosed, but that as long as there was not pain, I should ignore them. He said they may or may not go away over time, but that if they didn’t go away, the local vasculature would be rerouted to get around any clotted areas (i.e., a new vein would branch off — a “detour”). And obviously these tiny thromboses do not pose the kind of pulmonary embolism risk that DVT in the legs does.

Anyway, I still suggest to guys who think they have a thrombosis that they should take time off from PE and other penile stimulation to see if the problem will go away, since if a vein really is thrombosed it can be painful and prone to further aggravation. But frankly I suspect that all vein changes without pain are benign.

Essentially what my uro said, Para. And the “detouring” as you put it, is what often happens.

The trick, I am believing, is not to aggitate something that already hurts. Anything hurtful in PE needs one’s attention. Stop doing what makes something hurt, or hurt more.

Better yet, pay attention to setting up a PE program that is not likely to damage your penis, rather to make it more efficient and for us here, larger.

“Recanalization” is the medical term for the detouring, I think.

Thanks guys,

I will take a week off and see what happens. Perhaps I can begin on a length routine and disregard the girth routine for a while.

Best,

Renholder

I definitely would lay off if you have a NEW phenomenon that wasn’t there before and suddenly appeared. Vascularity can increase over time with PE, but that is not what it sounds like happened to you. I would not mess with a vein or lymph vessel that has “blown out.” How could it possibly heal?

*I measure PRE-WORKOUT, normal erection* Started: 7 EBP x 4.9 EG. Several years on and off PE, now 8.125 EBP length x 5.5 EG midshaft (5.8 base). Working on girth (clamping) again after breaks due to injuries - fast recent gains! Pics

I’d lay off and wait it out on the injury bench with me till it clears.
