For me it looks like that just the penis under the skin is pulled out through the incision in the pubic area. No way I could every do this to my dick… :)

I have found a thread about Embolization that actually fixed the Soft Glans for 2 guys. http://www.ed-f orum.com/viewto … .php?f=45&t=135
I think this would be a real low-risk or even risk-less way to our plight as this procedure can also be done without any incision at all.

We also don’t suffer from general ED (with several venous leaks) but only have troubles keeping our glans inflated, so it should be much easier to fix compared to severe cases.

Two guys from another forum (a PE site) had success with this embolization thing. Let me know if you want the exact links, as I don’t know if they’re allowed here. Anyway, although these guys were young, they both naturaly had a condition of "soft glans" (soft head of the penis). They both visited a number of urologists, including very emminent ones, who did nothing for them. Once they found interventional radiologists, they immediately got help. And they were very happy with the procedure and spoke very highly of their doctors. They described the surgery as having no side effects at all. It seems that their condition is as good as it should be, even several years later.

So what is interventional radiology (IR)? It’s radiology that specializes in "minimally invasive treatments". They pride themselves on how non-invasive their procedures are - and rightly so. The recovery time compared to surgical methods is much shorter.

The problem with DDV embolization/ligation is that though it seems to work, the results do not last. What I’ve read indicates that from 6 months to several years down the track, new veins will have begun to re-innervate to make up for the closed DDV. The symptoms will begin to re-emerge and eventually the penis goes back to exactly where it was before the embolization.

Even in that link, several posters comment on this. One guy:

'
My summary:

Of 32 patients, average IIEF score changed as follows:
Pre-op: 11.4 (Out of 25)
Post op 3 month: 20.1
Post op 12 month: 15.9

As far as I’m concerned, that’s a deal-breaker. The vein-tucking-procedure is potentially far more viable.

Yea.. There is also a circumcision involved in the surgery. Plus the fact that it seems like quite a hardcore surgery- stripping away of many veins, makes me not want to do it.

This is the site, in chinese.

http://www.zssy.com.cn/

And this is the contact e-mail.

Sumsrd@gxsums.edu.cn

Is this the general email address of the hospital, or is it the email address of the "founder" Bin Zhang, Md. PhD. of this method?

It’s just the hospital, it’s the best that was on there. It did say that guy worked there though.

Is anyone planning on e-mailing them? I thought somebody wanted to? If not I could do it, could also get it translated if it comes to that.

Please try your luck there. I am afraid they only understand Chinese and won’t forward it to the actual doctor.

@warriorsway

have you received any answer? I have emailed them asking about the doctor who is performing this surgery but haven’t heard back from them.

I havent yet, been a bit busy. If you’ve already done it though I will get a freind to help write a email in chinese, at least we got english and chinese both covered then.

Reply from Dr. Bin Zhang re deep dorsal embedding

I did find his direct email (doctorzb@163.com) from his paper and asked him about any continued progress, and any U.S. Doctors performing his operation.

He replied fairly promptly, saying that the operation is being performed in China (but giving no success data) and referred me to Dr Lue at UCSF (see this page of his: Erectile Dysfunction).

Dr. Lue replied to my email rather curtly, saying that he had no experience with Zhang’s procedure. I emailed back trying to open a further conversation but haven’t heard back, adding to my initial impression that Lue was not interested in Zhang and/or his procedure.
