Persistent long term loss of sensitivity, nerve damage - please help

John,

Try taking Avena Sativa (oat straw). It helps with all kinds of nerve problems such as tingly hands and feet, and it’s worked for me in the past. Can’t hurt!

I mean women are practically the MAIN driving force behind male existence.

I know it’s not what you want to hear but I’m afraid you’re going to have to put women at the bottom of your list of priorities, certainly for the time being.

Make other things more important. Try and fill your time with things that will keep your mind off of sex.

You’ll go crazy otherwise.

God I dunno wtf is going down there. When I do even the most light, featherlike stimulation to try and guage if sensitivity is coming back it seems the numbness gets worse and doesnt come back. I’ve tried this on some spots where there is sensitivity and now the numbness has increased and is staying that way. It seems the nerves on my penis are in constant prone to being damaged.

I guess I shouldn’t even look at it at this point as the visual energy might damage the nerves even more.

I really wish urologists could be of more help. This is getting insane.

Hey John, here’s my input for you. I’ve had a reduction in penile sensitivity for a couple of years now. It happened gradually after an extended use of the penis pump. But possible also because of an addition to masturbation and heavy use of porn, which might have desensitised my normal brain-to-penis sensitivity/nerve function. After numerous visits to different doctors and urologists it was suggested it might be psychological. At first I rejected this notion. But in hindsight I realize I did increase my porn use to, basically, get horny, and be able to feel heightened sensation. This behaviour developed more so as my sensitivity decreased - possibly producing a downward spiral …which also lead to more deepened depression.

I found this fantastic website which actually suggested that the problem isn’t actually in my penis …but in my brain.

Your Brain On Porn -

Please check it out. I agree with Willy Wonka, leave this place alone and forget about trying to ‘enhance’ your penis. The potential loss just ain’t worth it in the end.

Let me know what you think about the ideas presented.

…I went through a very deep depression, for a long time, and my final realisation is to accept that I have to go through an extended period of abstinence from all sexual activity, and porn use (possibly permanently). To allow my brain to ‘re-boot’ …and hopefully my normal penis sensitivity to return, or improve.

It’s possible that won’t happen, but I believe if you can accept your loss may be permanent, your mentality will improve, and then give yourself the time-out you need (maybe months are needed), your brain/penis connection might reboot. And stop abusing your penis using PE.

Do all this, eat well, sleep well, and focus on other aspects (positively) in your life
…you might also be able to ‘re-calibrate’ to your lower sensitivity.

Hope this helps you.

I’m on this journey, and feel more positive now about the future.

Who knows, maybe a porn/masturbation/orgasm detox (or brain re-boot) is all you need.

…my apologies if porn use isn’t a factor for you.

Here’s interesting links to movies on the above website:

No offence, but I think that’s nonsense. You can’t make your penis numb (numb to the touch I mean, not numb as in "it requires more physical stimulus to make it hard because I touch it too much and my penis has got used to the touch") by watching too much porn or masturbating too much. It’s just nonsense and that website is nonsense.

Good luck to you if you think that’s the journey to go down but I don’t think it will yield any success. You cannot make your penis lose it’s sensation with your brain!

Thanks for the in depth reply bigbox, but I am thouroughly convinced that my numbness is purely physical in nature. I have not attempted a full on masturbation in 8+ months and there has been no increase in sensitivity. There is something defective going on with the nerves and it will be part of my life’s mission never ever to give up on regaining that sensation. Maybe Ill stop @ 60+ yrs old, if I live that long, but not until then.

My next step is to get a detailed imaging of the penile nerves via MRNeurography, which is a new procedure. I’m hoping this can give some feedback. If surgery is not an option, I will pursue stem cells as a means to drastically increase NGF (nerve growth factor). There are dead parts of the penis right now and even though some cell nerve death has occured the bodily ultimately wants to recconect with that tissue. The body is always attempting homeostasis, we are just not in tune enough to know exactly how to accomplish that.

My nerves have not been severed so I do believe I have a good chance of eventually getting sensation back. Willy, I suggest you don’t let any doctor tell you something is impossible and always keep some time dedicated to keeping track of any kind of nerve growth procedures.

Has it improved?

Its been a while and I’m having some sensory nerve issues. I Have your nerves healed since the last post?

Normally nerve damage it is attributed to loss of sensitivity in a specific region be it penis or part of fingers or hands due to pressure and extreme pumping would cause that as much a the wire holding a paint can.

Normally it is expected to new neurones gradually take a different path covering the affected area. If there is no change after 8 weeks or so you must see a doctor for testing.

Everytime someone posted long-term injuries like this they never updated if they had recovered or not. It’s so fucked up.

I’ve seen you at PEgym. Just don’t worry about it anymore man . It’s fine . You’re alive. I understand that it is frustrating , especially since you have been dealing with it for 5 years , I can only imagine . I have an injury myself . My penis, ballsack and anus are numb to pleasure . Sucks ass . Plus I got mild Ed but can still bang . Been dealing with this injury for almost 9 months. At this point I’m mostly over it and ready to move on with my life . Good luck man and I hope everything works out for you . By the way , you like zyzz? Haha

Still Nerv Damage Sice 3 years

Any you guys still here.

Did you end up recovering?

Nerve damage since 3 years aswell, less sensation at the top, almost no sensation at the shaft. Funny thing is, eventhough I feel almost nothing except the orgasm, I have really fast urge to ejaculate since the incident. Will go to hospital for complete checkup in a month but I think it’s hopeless.
