Sneeze Strain while Hanging - It's nothing to sneeze at!

so, I felt a sneeze coming on and I grabbed the dome of my Hanger and I managed to relieve apprx 50% of the weight I was hanging and BOOM… I sneezed. I thought that perhaps I strained something, but really I felt nothing.

Later that eve I went to throw some kicks (I do martial arts) and everytime I lifted my right leg, I felt a dull pain in my left testicle. I was told that I most likely I strained my seminal cord.

Has that happened to anyone here?

I defo recommend NOT to try to sneeze while hanging. Lift ALL THE WEIGHT up if you feel it coming - as quick as possible.

I eventually got conditioned with this over time. I think I had my lig snap a few times when I was wearing my extender and coughing from weed. It didn’t feel right, but it didn’t hurt either. I am not sure of it though, might be something else. I would avoid sneezing and coughing while clamping, but I am not so scared of this anymore because I don’t get the same intense contractions I used to get when sneezing/coughing.

I think that sneezing - like one of them really big auld sneezes - will more violently contract the plumbing and that shit just isn’t meant to be stretched. I was feeling the discomfort when I was raising my right knee in particular, but now i’m not feeling iit in my testicle as much as in my lower abdomen. It’s light, but I still feel it. I’m going to hang now. Will report back.

Again, to all that read this - PICK UP YOUR WEIGHTS if you feel a sneeze coming on and let your scrotum do what it does naturally, unhindered.

For sure, everyone should avoid sneezing or coughing while doing any form of PE, I was only saying that it gets easier to control it. But it rarely happened to me, I kept taking measures to prevent it. When I felt a sneeze I would actually hold it till I took the extender off.

I’d like to add, “explosive laughter” to the list. My FiancĂ© made me burst out in laughter and it was a close call, as I immediately reached for the dome of my LG hanger to relieve the weight!

You haven’t mentioned the weight.

If I sneeze, cough, laugh, and I am not bragging or anything, I am just asking out of curiosity, between 0,5kg-1,5kg is like a harder kegel maybe, doesn’t bother me, does it bother you?

I don’t think this is good for gains or anything, I have no idea. I just want to try and relate it to other things in order to hopefully understand something else. Like, what does that translate to in overall conditioning terms, or maybe it has something to do with girth, or maybe base girth in particular. It might also have something to do with the size of the head, I guess. I would imagine guys with bigger heads having less problems like this. And I think that the more base girth we have the easier it triggers.

I don’t hang, but the sneezing strain goes towards other things as well. Once during a hard clamping session, about 3 minutes into my 2ND set of the clamp, I got this sudden urge to sneeze. I let out the sneeze, and it felt like someone punched me in the urethra! I freaked out, removed the clamp immediately. For the rest of the day, whenever I urinated, it felt like I had a bruise inside my urethra. Thankfully the next day, it was gone. Noses can be really annoying at times.
