l-Arginine and water

Why do you need to take in extra water with L-Arginine? Is the L-A dehydrating you because it seems to make me thirsty or is it that the L-A needs water to make it work? Or is it just to wash down the horse sized pills?

I think it is to wash down the horse size pills.

Speak softly carry a big dick, I'm mean stick!

I know it is a big investment at $1 a liter, but give water a try. It has a lot of benefits. A bigger load being one of them.

Hydrate or die.

Since it is recommended to take L-arg on an empty stomach, the extra water probably just helps dilute it out so it is not so concentrated in your stomach.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Thanks for the replies guys

Joseph, it’s so as to not give you an upset stomach. Think of it like when you eat something raw, out of the ground. While good for you, it will upset your stomach. Water serves as a catalyst for L-A to course through your body effectively.

Hope that helps.

I think that L-Arginine needs water in order to fully work;)

H2O is like fuel for the process of producing that bigger nut load ^_^

I have been hearing many people complain about the taste of l-arginine in powder form. For those doing so, and those considering it, there is good news if you stick with it. After so long your body completely accommodates itself to the bad taste! I have been putting 5 grams of l-arginine in a normal glass of water and drinking it every night before I go to bed. At first, I couldn’t bear the taste, it was a real struggle to finish the glass. After a couple of weeks I can drink the entire glass, without stopping, and not taste a thing. I don’t even notice the bad taste anymore. If you stick with it, it’s not so bad.

Oh wait, I meant to answer your question. I read that the molecule reacts with different chemicals and amino acids very easily and that water will does not change it’s composition. I have tried putting it in soda and other beverages and find that it often causes the liquid to fuzz up. I am deducing that the fuzz is a chemical reaction. At the atomic level the arginine and soda is doing something ambiguous. I have no idea if the reaction is polar, ionic, or covalent, but it’s something. Some chemical bonds irreversibly alter the nature of the atoms involved. Seeing as we don’t know what kind of bond is occurring, putting arginine in soda may or may not be changing the molecule irreversibly. Irreversible in the sense that when it is in your stomach it will behave differently because it has a different shape caused by the reaction. If it has a different shape, it will perform different tasks. I know that in water, arginine dissolves via hydrogen bonds, which are very weak bonds, caused by electro magnetism. The hydrogen in water will take advantage of the atomic charge of l-arginine and dissolve it. It will do so without changing the nature of the molecule so that it will retain it’s shape and perform it’s function in your body.

Anyone can tell me a vitamin supplement with L- Argenine. I have not seen an L-arginine here in our local drugstore.

Do you have a body building supplement store like GNC (General Nutrition Center)? Or you will very often find L-arginine in many whey protein powders. Of course, if you find a store that sells protein powder, they will probably also have straight L-arginine. :)

Is it true?

Can large amounts of L-arginine mess up you potasium levels that would lead to cardiovascular problems such as heart palpitation etc?

I mix my powder with Gatorade. I can’t stand the taste with water!

Hi all I can’t start a new thread so I decided to write on this one, I have just brought some l-arginine at 500mg tablets. Now it says take one a day on the packet when eating a meal. Is this right? Is the dosage too little?
