So here we are a few days later. Not three days later from my previous post I was forced to stop with this shake idea for a week as I was without power at my house. Stupid winter storms and the like!
Anyhow, here are my observations.
1) I cannot do a full half cup of Lecithin each time I make this shake. 1/4 cup + 2 Tablespoons is totally acceptable. I cannot do the full half cup because of what it does to me a few hours later…. not cool at all. Also the reduced amount of Lecithin makes the shake infinitely easier to drink, especially when combined with, point 2.
2) A little less than 1/4 cup of wheat germ (for all of you super precise measuring types out there 1/4 cup minus 1 Tablespoon) is ideal for me. This has nothing to do with physiological consequences later on, it just makes the texture of this shake more palatable to me.
3) Reduce the amount of celery from 8 stalks to 6. I have simply found this to help make a head of celery last two full shakes as opposed to 1.5 shakes. This is a pure budget / supply concession.
So, with that in mind, here is my adapted recipe of Ganesh10’s recipe:
6 fresh celery stalks (juiced)
1 clove garlic (juiced)
2 Tbs. Ginger Root (juiced)
1 cup raw whole milk
Approx. 30 pumpkin seeds (1/2 Tablespoon)
1/4 cup + 2 Tablespoons Lecithin
1/4 - 1 Tablespoon cup wheat germ
1 Tablespoon Maca Root (Gelatinized prefered)
2 Teaspoons Bee Pollen (Caution: you might be highly allergic to Bee Pollen! Try in small doses first, to determine body’s reaction)
1 Tablespoon Raw Honey
Adapted from: Untraditional PE Exercises
Once I got my version of the recipe dialed in, I’ve had no problems with it since those first couple of times I tried it. I will say that I am not making it twice per day as is suggested, so I’m not sure if I am missing out or not. That said, things seem to have increased since I started taking this shake, but that could also be due to good hydration. Good hydration has become a major focus point in my life, since I find my body just functions better when I am properly hydrated. Regular health benefits taken into account, this adapted shake recipe has me feeling pretty good. I’m not producing "Loads of Legend" but the original post does mention that at two shakes per day (grand total of 1 cup of lecithin per day), it takes one full month to reach full potency. Given that I am taking in only 25% of what is in the original formula, I expect it to take longer.
When I get to a point where I am able to do this twice a day, or if I observe any changes that indicate it is working, I will surely post that here. I have yet to combine this with the holy grail plan, but I DO like this a lot more than swallowing fist fulls of pills multiple times each day.
