Propecia once every 5 days?

Thank you for pointing me to the relevant thread. It’s documented that just stopping finasteride wasn’t test boosting enough for Cya to conduct his penile growth experiment, but that he supplemented with prohormones or hormones. This is very different from just stopping fin for a week. I’ll stick to tribulus regarding test levels and to a creatine cycle once in a while regarding muscle development for now.

Thanks for all the help guys. I’m not sure when I’ll get on the finasteride. I have some days where I feel I better get on some finasteride fast, and other days I think its just paranoia.

I’m just waiting for the right time to take it, as I heard its a long term commitment. Once you’re on finasteride for awhile, if you were stop taking it, the hair-loss process would continue where it left off right?

"It doesn't matter where you start, it only matters where you end up."

Those type of questions are answered at propecia.com . If you’re losing hair now, why wait to get started?

Yes, you’ll have to take a pill every day for the rest of your life, or until you don’t mind having hair loss. I believe you’re correct (didn’t check the site myself) that the loss will begin again once you stop taking finasteride.

YGuy,

Once you start taking propecia, it’s a lifetime commitment, unless something better comes on the market. But it does work. I’m a 7 year successful veteran with its use. The sooner the better, if you’re worried about hair loss/thinning. It’s best used as a prevention against hair loss once you see the early symptoms.

YGuy,

I HATE taking medication but one of the highest success rates with Propecia is that fact that you cant be skin bald. Dont wait to the point of no return.

Good luck

I have a receding hairline. Does anything — Propecia, Rogaine, whatever — restore hair there?

According to the propecia.com site, as I remember, male pattern baldness begins at the temples and the crown and spreads. So if your hair is receding from the front/sides, the drug should work.

It works for that as long as you still have your hair even if it’s very thin.

Start before you lose your hair because when it’s gone it ain’t growing back, all this stuff will do is make your hair thick and healthy and keep dht from attacking it.

Hey Yguy

Start at least using rogaine at least that did stop my hair loss but it didn’t grow anything because I had full hair in the back it was just heading south in the front. But it did seem to stop the front from losing anymore.

Hi guys,

What about the combined use of rogaine and retin-A (the acne stuff) 4corners mention a study showing this combinations abilty to “re-grow” hair anywhere on the head ?

Anyone any further info or is it a pipe dream.

I tried Rogaine but didnt like the twice daily topical treatments. My understanding is that once you stop rogaince it begins reversing the positive effects immediately. On the other hand, once you stop Propecia, its takes approximately one year to go back to where you were when you started.

The once a day pill is easy and it worked for me. Good luck.

brag,
I would like to watch for a second study on that one. It is very interesting though.

I was feeling a bit rich so ordered a years supply of propecia, as a “wont get any worse medicine”. Also I picked up a tube of retin-a and headway to give it a shot.

I’m well past the point of no return for propecia but seeing as how I had the money thought what the hell it isnt going to do any harm(apart from possible side effects listed)

I’ll post if anything happens, or not as the case may be.

I do rogaine and propecia once per day. My hairline hasn’t improved much, but the hair is thick all the way to the line now.

A lot of guys at some of the hair loss forums use Dr Lee’s products. He sells a minoxidil-retin-a formulation and also has links to studies I believe.

Let us know if it can grow new hair, most things can thicken hair but not grow new hair once it’s gone
