It is for Simplicity. The amount of alcohol in an eyedropper full is negligible; however, your wish to avoid any and all alcohol is certainly understandable.

Jewelers scale with 0.001 gram accuracy, an investment that anyone using supps should probably make any way. You can pick the better ones up for under $100 shipping included on ebay.
Something I have done is to take the fat end of a jell-cap and slap on enough Plastidip to make a stable base. By placing the base on a gem scale you can now add and measure single milligram amounts to a jell-cap. Simply take any powder filled jell-cap of the same size as your base and take off the fat end. Slip the skinny end into the base already sitting on your gem scale. Using what ever implements are comfortable for you add super small amounts of powder until the weight of the cap has increased by 10mg or what ever you wish to add.
It will take a bit of practice but you will soon be eyeballing it to within a milligram or two. Scooping out what looks like 10mg on a knife tip and then carefully nudging it off a part at a time with a pin is a good way to go. Use Nettle Root as your base jell-cap and off set any potential sinuous congestion caused by the V/C before it even starts.
I got a ProScale Gemological from this place. I specifically wanted that brand and was willing to pay a bit more to get it. They currently cost $79 and are well worth it in my book.

Carries a knock-off of the Proscale called an Accura for only $20, $10 shipping. I don’t know the quality of this brand but for a total of $30 you get a diamond scale capable of measuring in single milligram increments and with 5X the capability on the upper end compared to the Proscale. "50 x 0.001 GRAM DIGITAL DIAMOND JEWELRY POCKET SCALE" Is the heading of the item.
